PES 2008 keeps crashing my PC!

Tried the RivaTuner software and it hasnt made ANY difference at all..... :-(

Problem still occurrs....

I dont know if its the patch I'm using that is causing this (I am running the YNWA patch)

I've followed your tutorial, quick question though, what do you set your default profile to? ie, what does your fan speed normally run at, did you choose the 60%, 80% or 100% ?

My settings are:
Core Clock = 658
Shader Clock = 1645
Memory Clock = 912

I think I have my fan set to run at 50% normally, then it goes at 60% when the temp reaches 60 degrees, then 80% when 70 degrees.

Or it might be 80% when it reaches 60, and 100 when it reaches 70 can't remember.

Are you definately running Rivatuner before starting PES? You need to start it up and select your profile first.

Positive mate......

by the way, the problem is solved now, WOOHOO! (famous last words, lol, bet it happens again...)

I just installed the latest beta drivers from the nvidia site (169.28) and so far not ONE crash at all and I've played about 9 games :)

yay!

it is happining to me too, often... e6700 p5k3, ddr3, 8800 gts, latest oficcial driver... normal temps.

Hello !

I'm Spanish, sorry by my bad English.

This problem is due to a memory problem (qimonda). Some cards (8800GT) have this problem and if you try to downclock memory speed (mhz) it work. I had a 8800GT and had this problem. Nowadays I have a 8800GTS and haven't this problem.

Bye !

8800gts user, and had problems.

I've done some researching on the net and quite a few people have had problems with 8800 GT's.....

I've used rivatuner and lowered my settings to 620 core and 900 memory with my fanspeed set to 65%

that sound okay? im going to try the game now and see if it works.....

Hi, i have the same problem with the message "Your computer's processing speed has slowed. Quit the match"
It happens when my computer suddenly makes a loud noise, think its the fan turning on or just going into overdrive? It goes on for about 10 seconds and near the end of the noise i get disconnected and the message appears.
My computer is a Inspiron 530 E6750 Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz, 1333Mhz
256MB nVidia GeForce 8600GT
Vista 32. All standard not overclocked.
Happens randomly (every 15-20 games or so, but could even be twice in a row)

Just realised with vista my computer automatically defragments every week at 1.00 am or whenever the computer is turned on. I have turned this off as it may be that the computer struggles to defrag and run a game at the same time? No problems in a week since.

is not defragmentation... i just get the ideea we should reinstall pes once a week... is not stable. i stopped any defragmentation, all is manual now, but it crashed again.
