PC PROBLEMS!! HELP NEEDED

Hi i normally play PES on xbox but my m8 sed its class on PC, so i downlaoded the demo to try it out cos my PC is a few years old. it actually runs which suprised me, but it was very very choppy.

My PC SPEC is:

P4 1.4ghz processor
352mb Ram
40 gig hard drive

i have no graphics card apart from the one that is built into my mobo which is poo anyway. i have did tests on my mobo to see wat i can upgrade too and the most i can get is a AGP4x, i no this is very old technology here, but any help on a decent graphcis card to run this game would be grateful.
 
it might sound silly but that card is AGP 8x will it still work in AGP 4x slot???
