Pay as you go Phone Question

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can answer hopefully what is a simple question.

Looking at getting the wife an O2 PAYG mobile, nothing fancy (think it's a Nokia C3). Looking at the phones it gives me a price and then says that I also need to buy a £10 top-up credit. Now technically I don't have a problem with doing that, but note that there is also a sim-free phone, but that is considerably more expensive.

Question really is, if I'm not changing network can my wife just stick her existing sim in this new phone?

Her current phone was a vodafone which was unlocked, but I guess due to this is the reason that her phone keeps cutting off at times during calls.

Hope I've explained that clearly, TIA.

Unlocking shouldn't be a cause of dropped calls to be honest, it's more likely to be the phone itself.

There's normally no problem sticking in a SIM card from the same network.

Cheers mate, could be the phone then, but wife just thinks it's happened since the unlocking.

Got her a new phone anyway.
