Hi guys,

Here's the first video that demonstrates my vision for gameplay for FC 26.

The mod will likely be released for all tools (subject to me finishing the fifamod (FMM) support on FMT).

I will update this post when I have something more.

Required Game Settings:
Gameplay Mode
: COMPETITIVE
Authenticity: OFF

Gameplay Sliders:
Whatever you want. I play all 50.

CPU Sliders:
Whatever you want. I play Tactical.

Gameplay mod features:

Movement

  • Dribbling and turning feel slower and less responsive.
  • Sprinting is less explosive and less dominant, encouraging controlled play.
  • Fatigue has a larger effect on players speed in and out of possession.
  • Animations (dribbling, passing, strafe) are slower and smoother.
  • Sprint and acceleration curves were rebuilt for realism and balance and use attributes more.
Passing
  • Significantly increased error chances, dropping passing accuracy from 90%+ to 75%+
  • Significantly increased variance between good and poor passers
  • Larger variance of under pressure error based on attributes
  • Increased error chance on low/medium difficulty passes, for more realistic outcomes
  • Reduced penalty from angled ball speed, allowing better control during extreme-angle (i.e. 180 turn) passes
  • Reduced penalty scaling over distance, improving longer passes so that they are not affected by the other changes
Shooting

Position Changes
  • Fullbacks now move forward twice as often to support the midfield and attack but not as much as wingbacks
  • Defensive midfield (DEFEND) now hold their position more often in attack to act as a pivot

Hi, I was hoping you'd release your gameplay vision soon.
Is the downloadable version equivalent to the preview you posted?
What settings do you recommend for the best gameplay experience?
 
Sorry, so mods can't be applied to FC26, right?
We are using Frostbite Modding Tool right now. There are 2 tools that can mod FC26. Frostbite Modding Tool and FIFA Editor Tool / Mod Manager.

Most mod users are using FMT right now until FET / FMM comes out to the public.

So "competitive." And the default CPU settings (all 50)?
What level do you recommend? World Class or Legendary?

Waiting for your mod. I hope you can fix Left/Right backs don't supporting in attack, instead they stay with the center backs in the back four in the middle of the field which is stupid. I should not set my full-backs as offensive fullbacks to pass midfield and support the wingers, that is just common sense!

Seems to be the number 1 complain about that in general throughout all FC forums too. Such an obvious oversight from them. Just shows they don't watch any footie games.

I am working on updating the first post with the write up for the mod and I need to finish the write up and thumbnail for the release video.

However, I have added a new version of the mod file for Frostbite Modding Tool for you all to enjoy. Just check out the first post to find it.

I am working on the fifamod feature for FMT. It seems to be ready to go but I'd like to be sure before I do a release. Give me a few days.

I've also updated the title of the thread to be extra "alpha sigma" ... :LMAO:. Yes I know. My sense of humour is odd.

Before you release your new Update, Paul, I just thought to give you feedback for the Test Mod you already released (a.e. on your Discord Channel) so that this nice GP Mod is not half lost between so many discussions to follow, opinions to read and some first Mods here and on Discord to test.

A Video I have recorded as well because I liked your first attempts to this new Game a lot. I must say for a first Mod/Test it plays very smooth and as always you know how to slow down the damn overspeed from the default Game, but that´s not everything.

Paul´s Gameplay Test launched with latest FMT Version. Just for the Protocol of this feedback
Settings: Gameplay Mode: Competitor
Difficulty: World Class
Half Time: 5 Minutes
Sliders: custom (everything set to 50(default) as recommend from you
FUMA controlled

As Intro I wanna say in short latest FMT Version loads fast, I had no errors by launching it, Live Editor I had also co-launched, Game Start showing your nice new Gameplay Splashscreen.

Related to the Gameplay:
At first few ball contacts it was for me seen ball speed feels much more free and not so clinical and straight like in default. I like at Paul´s mods the Players are can´t move by 180 degrees in 1ms now. It takes them a more natural time to turn around even for 90 degrees there is a natural movement neccessary. That is combined with a slower general game speed but not of the cost of dynamic in game. I played with Bayern Munich at Anfield and the Reds are pressing extremly early my defenders and try to cover my Goalies possibilities to pass the ball short at box kick off. Usually I hate to kick the ball high and far but sometimes it´s neccessary when Salah, Ekiteke and Gakpo pressing.
Errors are still lethal here. I did 2 silly mistakes in the match and they are leading to 2 goals against me. In default game sometimes the AI passes in those cases sometimes unneccessary the ball around instead of finishing my fault.
Battles about the ball in 1vs1 situations having more physicality. What makes the match just more believable for my eyes and on my controller.

In my recorded Match there are powerful Headers to see from the AI, but the real deal was related to Header Goals in the Match that I played before against Barca. I controlled Villarreal. Lewandowski scored 2 Header Goals after crosses from Yamal and the other one from Raphinha into my Goal with a decen speed and not those lame ducks headers EA gives in their games like some years especially.

Last but not least, I really enjoyed that when I am conquere the ball in the midfield central position a.e., that my wingers are "running" into free spaces for receiving most likely the next pass of my midfield Player. I had always this annoying miss in FC 25, even with GP mods applied that my team mates in attacking position are lack of understanding for what they call WInger or Attacker. Irl great team Players are suddenly reading the game plan much better by switching into "I have fun now to making my opponent defender headache" as next logical decision.
So yeah, I had fun to face a real good "off default" - Experience although called "Gameplay Test". When you forge this Mod further it will end up like last seasons final Gameplay mod where you already have transfered many great aspects over to this Mod.

Improvements? Always space for them, nothing new so. I hope you keep the things I faced and descriped above and keep the fundamentals of real football, because EA can´t! :))

I tried the gameplay. And wow, it's much more harder to score but it gives a big satisfaction when I do score. Still need a bit of time to adjust to the passing and overall tempo of the gameplay but I think this is much better than the original authentic gameplay by EA. Looking forward to more mods by Paul! Many thanks 🙏
