Sad news about Scholes (although he will not care, he will at last have peace) and even more about Cabaye...this guy can play the CL and is burying himself in Newcastle...this is a fine example of all that is wrong with football nowadyas (and i don't blame Cabaye).
 
never heard of it, would he sit on bench when Ivanovic playes? i heard Bayern wan´t him..

but they deciede between him or Rafinha..

Seriously, I can't get why both Rami and Cabaye are quitting a CL calibre team like Lille to join medium clubs in bigger leagues. If I were a football player I would prefer to stay in a top club at my league instead of moving to mid-table EPL or La Liga team.

By, which Hazard's bro is joining him at LOSC? Thorgan or someone else?

Rami went to Valencia, not a medium range club at all, problaby the 3rd force in Spain together with Atletico... and theyll play CL too...

Imo theyre an upgrade from Lille in a player's career...


For Newcaslte i think EPL is a step above Ligue 1, so that maybe was afactor, actually both moved to bigger leagues.
 
To be fair Cabaye has been there since 2004. He probably feels, having won the league, that he has done his part and it is time to move on.
 
i don't blame Cabaye, i blame FIFA and UEFA that it is possible that a player prefers a midtable team (at best) to a team that plays CL.

And i'm not sure this is the wisest thing to do for Cabaye: Lille is a stable club, i haven't much confidence in Newcastle's mamanger and owner...they are both clowns.

I guess when Stock Exchange notices the transfer then is official. However, I haven't already seen nothing from Benfica regarding Sidnei deal. Maybe its just a delay I guess.
