Ricardo Carvalho (Chelsea) -> Real Madrid 8M €

Jose Mourinho is getting worse and worse on signings. Not that Carvalho is a bad player, but he used to 'create' players.. He's so 'lazy' nowadays...

perhaps it is only becouse Pepe is injured and Carvalho want to be working again with man who made him famous.. I think it is good buy for Madrid.. as all this year.

Bebe (Vit. Guimarães) -> Manchester United 9M € (!!!)

He never played in portuguese first division. He signed for Guimarães this season for 50 000 €.

Nothings confirmed that we payed the buyout clause though? Isn't that just the press talking? Our website says "for an undisclosed fee" and Vitoria's just says it's the biggest they've ever received which I think previously was about £2.5m for Geromel. It could also be incentivised and based on sucess with a lower initial down payment. Who knows!!

eh, they had the 8m on the manutd.com webiste earlier, just changed it to undisclosed in the meantime...

Well, portuguese press talks about 9-10M €, but you're right... we'll never know the true ammount probably. Anyway, it's a shocking signing, specially when David Gill says he'll most likely stay on the first team. I mean, this guy was playing in the 3rd division a few months ago.

Well he's only 20 so we don't have to register him for the league and he can still play so there's nothing to lose by sticking him in the mix and letting him settle in with the help of the other Portugese speakers.

Also just been reading that Vitoria said they accepted bids from 3 other major European clubs and he decided to sign for us! One was likely to have been Real Madrid as Marca had him on the front page so that's quite a coup for a Latin player to chose us over them!:D

Yes, Real Madrid was also rumoured to be after him. I think it was a wise choice from him, Ferguson knows how to 'work' these players and he'll have more chances to get a couple of minutes time.

I think he go to Man United:
