Noob question

Hi,

Am competent new to this modding malarkey (actually it's my son trying them and I'm ineptly trying to help).

We're using FMT and he's finding random mods. We're trying them one by one to make sure FC25 loads.

Game randomly crashes though....

How do I find out what might be causing the problem. Or any general tips?

Tough question! I've experienced crashes here and there with different mods for different versions of the game (and with PES mods too) and there were times in which I simply couldn't find out the culprit.
On top of that, upon reloading (same exact mod list and order), at times the game would keep crashing while at other times everything would apparently work fine.

What I can suggest you is this: if you face a crash, try reloading everything as it was and see if it crashes again. If it does, you definitely have a bigger problem (but usually easier to spot).
If it doesn't... Time to play some Cluedo: you might find that the game, for example, only crashes when a certain player enters the pitch from the bench (maybe a modded face issue). That's a situation that might be harder to replicate/trigger though.

Yeah, definitely.
It's the same in both FMM (the other major tool that allows you to load mods) and FMT: the mod that's lowest on the list gets the highest "priority".
You can only load one version of a given file, so, if the file is featured in more than one mod, the file contained in the mod placed lowest in the list gets used (I hope it makes sense).

use fifa mod manager its reccomended then watch he uses free mods and its a decent tutorial for new people

theres literally no context to what youve said or the youtube video youve linked. he didnt explain the problem or the mods used so it could just be that the mods used were for vanilla and we are now on title update 5.

i know but its still helpfull since he said hes new to fc 25 modding that video helps people find what mods to use and mod order and tools

that depends on the person. you shouldnt need a hyped up YouTuber to help you make a decision.

again, thats down to the person. FMT is perfectly usable, despite many people who try to make you think otherwise.

Hi, yeah that's pretty much what it was, non TU5 mods. We've got things going with FMT now, so all good.
