Make sure you have latest drivers for your graphic card
defragment your hard drive
click start then run and type dxdiag
when this comes up click on sound tab then scroll the hardware sound acceleration level to basic or none

when you put your pes 2009 disc in the drive and the autorun comes up click on the read me button then scroll down to troubleshooting and it tells you all this there.
since i did this i have had no more crashes

DUDE, I'VE JUST PUT THE SOUND TO BASIC AND THAT'S IT, THANK YOU! I've started 3 BAL games, all of them crashed exactly at the seventh week, but now I'm through this week and even didn't do the lowing resolution thing...
So thanks a lot.

I know man, but always that I have problems with games, I try all this routine envolving directx, enabling and desabling things, updating others, etc. But I just forgot to change hardware sound acceleration, I did now and I have NO problem with BAL mode, so everyone should try it...

i open dxdiag in vista and cant see how to change the hardware acceleration settings, any on got a clue?

you can't in vista , never have been able to, all direct x controls are locked

New patch coming for "Pro Evolution Soccer 2009" PC version

We have discovered a problem within the PC version of "Pro Evolution Soccer 2009", which affected the stability of various modes in game. The problem has been analyzed and are confirming that a patch will be released on Thursday the 23rd of October 2008.

In the meanwhile we suggest that players who may be affected switch their resolutions to 1280*720 or lower in order to circumvent any sort of instability.

We would like to offer our most sincere apologies to all who have been affected by this, and wish all players lots of fun with PES 2009!
