New Kits

West Milan Albion :P
I wish it was... It would remind me of this (which, by coincidence, I consider one of the best kits we ever had):

PAOK 3rd (well, away is usually black). Teamwear,so can't say I really like it.But,when thinking that we could have the gradient template... It looks better than it actually does.

And yes, that IS Huub Stevens holding the shirt.

I like it too, i was expecting something ugly and very old.
Vryzas looks like holding an invisible cigarette :P

Why are we still talking about combinations! Cant the mods clear this mess up, also these stupid Memes every time.

Agreed. Lets discuss it over the coming pages! So I think that some people need to have a little word with themselves and maybe come to the logical conclusion that it really doesn't matter what colour socks Brazil wear in a tournament that most people couldn't really care less about.

On a serious note wtf is wrong with you lot? It's FOOTBALL! Not Desperate Housewives ffs, as long as they're still playing football and the game is entertaining, don't worry about whether the shorts clash with the socks! :CONFUSE:

We care because it's tradition, if you don't care you don't need to comment about it.

Is it traditional to have a Nike logo on the chest? Or an Adidas one? or Kappa logos on the shoulders? It's a football kit mate, just a work uniform for footballers.

:APPLAUD: but at last t should be beautiful , not like Liverpool 2nd and 3th one !

Why are you talking about the logos? All the talk was always about the primal colors of the kit, they are tradition for more then 100 years, and when they were first chosen they had a reason to use the colors, it's not random or "not important" as you say. Even more to the fans, if you wanna see how much it matters go ahead and ask fans if they think "it's just a work uniform for footballers, colors are not important at all".

The point you are missing here is that this is your opinion, while the colors being tradition is a fact, so respect those who care even if you couldn't care less about it.

I mention the logos because if the colour scheme is so important then surely the inclusion of adverts across those kits is a bigger mess than changing the colour of the socks? If - like you - the changing of socks got me angry, then i know having huge logos on the kits would make me angrier because those kits represent the country, not an advertising campaign.

Just something to think about. Plus, i'm not missing any point, I know it's my opinion. My opinion is that people are getting angry at FIFA for the most trivial reason, they have fucked a lot of things up and have ruined a lot of things, but this is the most trivial and pointless of them all.

well, we show lots of "hatred" towards "walking billboards" kind of kits with 10+ sponsors on them

We get angry at adverts across the kits when they are too much, or a stupid thing like betting websites, but the club needs the adverts for money and stuff so we have to accept it.

The colors of the kit on the other hand, don't gain ANYTHING by changing over some stupid FIFA rule, not the club or the fans, that has no point what so ever, since the system worked fine for more then 100 years for only now they think they have a reason to change it (and they don't).

Of course we hate other FIFA stuff, but as you can read, this is the "New Kits" thread and that's what we are here to talk about.

That's it.

+1

But surely when that kit is meant to represent a country, surely any advert is too much.

Well, I have never actually thought about manufacturer logo in that way but yes, it is sometimes too much. That is why I like the thing Olympic games do with team kits (in all sports): only one manufacturer logo is allowed on shirt, so Puma, Macron etc. can't add them on shoulders and/or sleeves, Adidas has to decide whether to ditch 3 stripes on sleeves or to ditch their logo on the chest etc.
