Nike and Greek National Team announce new partnership
The Greek national team will debut new Nike kit in June against Lithuania as today the Hellenic Football Federation and Nike announced a new partnership which will see Nike become the official apparel and equipment supplier for the Greek National team at every level.
“We are excited to partner with the Hellenic Football Federation. The Greek national team possesses an incredibly rich heritage, passionate fans and a strong history of success within European football. From the national squad through to the youth teams, we will be delivering our most innovative performance products to the best athletes the country has to offer,” commented Kristjan Luha, Nike Greece General Manager.
“We are happy to welcome an internationally recognized brand into the extended family of the National Team. Nike is a company that, over time has been identified with impressive international successes by individual athletes and teams alike and is now connected to the National Team, the country’s top team. I hope this collaboration will be long-lived and I believe it will contribute to the overall advancement of domestic football,” added the President of the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) Giorgos Sarris.
The deal means Nike will be replacing rival brand Adidas as the new Greek shirt manufacturer. Adidas had been supplying the Greek national team with team wear and equipment since 2003
