Because kit suppliers can put only one logo over NT's shirts and, since three stripes are a logo, adidas decided to put his logo on the chest.
For the same reason, Puma shirts like Uruguay or Senegal don't have the puma on shoulders.

I dunno, their home shirt is nowhere near as nice as the last few, especially hate the monochrome badge.
The away is lovely no doubt.
The third is just a cheap teamwear shirt but with awful light blue details, obviously City's colour is light blue but it really doesn't suit the shirt at all.
