New Kits

Why that?

UEFA's insistence on name and numbers being clearly visible and in contrast to the rest of the shirt. Hence the plain-backed shirts several striped teams have had to wear during club competitons in recent seasons.

I forgot another Dutch combination, orange-black-orange, looked rather good in Euro 2000!

I'm not sure about that Turkish shirt, probably because I'm used to seeing them wear red with a white chest band, and inverted for the away kit.

Well, sod United's tea-towel tartan monstrosity for next year.

I just bought this.

So many fond memories of this shirt, being at Old Trafford watching Ruud bang in a hattrick against Fulham whilst having his name on the shirt. I miss Ruud.

Can anyone who is Turkish or knows Turkish make an exact translation of this?

Bunu bilemiyoruz. Fakat kulübün de renkleri 3 senedir yanlış yere koyması beni umutsuzluğa sürüklüyor. Sanki ters olacak gibi.

Çizimler tamamen duyumlara göre TAHMİNİ olarak çizilmiştir. Formalarımız bunlardır demiyoruz. Biz kaynaklarımızdan aldığımız bilgileri yazıyoruz sadece. İki sene önce 4 formayı da 5 ay öncesinden bilmiştik, geçen sene patlamıştık. Artık inanıp inanmaması size kalmış.

*Sevgili Fatih'e de çok teşekkür ederiz.

From Google's loose translation,I can only infer something about a polo collar.

Its daft, I remember the old classic national kit combinations!

France blue-white-red
Portugal red-green-red (or red-white-green)
England white-navy-white
Holland orange-white-orange

Now all of them in solid colour. Italy had all-blue a few years back didn't they? It just didn't look right! And the back of that Croatia shirt is proper butchered and I agree that with red numbers it looks strange.

Completely agree. I hate these one colour kits. They look rubbish and lack the contrast of the national colours. France in all blue (and Italy previously), Holland in all orange and Portugal in all red looks really shit.

Holland in black shorts is my favourite combo.

No.It's not a rule to wear monotone kits. The only rule is that the full uniform (shirt, shorts, socks) should be a different colour to the opposing team's complete uniform.

Portugal are wearing all-red in order for the shirt to look more solid on the pitch.Dutch shirt is all-orange to honour the Dutch royal heritage(Orange was the "royal colour" back in the monarchy days).France is all blue as it is inspired by the military uniforms which are completely blue. There is no rule behind these...All these got from someone who works at Nike.

Yes,indeed... Anyone remember the time when Nike used to have a design, and teams kits were based on it,circa 2005.These were great, original designs.

The Marseille 3rd shirt is NOT going to include lyrics in the reverse, but by buying the shirt, one can download an album by that French rapper "whose name doesn't come to mind",that's why it's going to cost 90 euros...

Eh, would have prefered the home kit without the red part near the collar. Away and third are great though.

Ajax away kit to be orange.

I think it's going to be orange because in every promo there is a plain orange shirt.
