Every time i change to long passing type 5 it resets to passing type 1, same with manual passing. There must be some sort of error with the system data saving. Sometimes, it works for one game, then when i go back and check it has gone back to default. Really doing my head in, anyone have a solution?

Make sure your /mydocuments/konami/pes2009 folder has 'read file only' unchecked. Right click on folder to check.

Re: New Bug Found

What a waste of a post.

Try reading the first post again please... :CONFUSE:
i read it, and i say you again, did you tried this??! i had the same problem that was changing by default the controlls, and i checked this...

First try and after judge... and if it's not this that you expect, you should at least say a Thanks that someone replied you instead of being rude saying "what a waste of post", because, YES it's waste of post when someone post something in your problem and you reply like this...

Re: New Bug Found

I don't really understand what you are getting at, i change it via system settings in game, it auto saves the data, as soon as i start a game it defaults back to the original settings.

Re: New Bug Found

maybe run the setting.exe and the game with "administrator privileges" (in the case you use windows vista)

Re: New Bug Found

Im on xp, and it is not possible to change the long passing type via the settings.exe which was why i was confused by your post.

Re: New Bug Found

Is this for the demo or full game? just to make things clear.
I've already tried type 5 and it didn't revert back to type 1 like u said.
strange problem.
Have you applied the 1.10 patch?

Re: New Bug Found

I have applied the patch, i think i may know what the problem is. I think its the gaming access community patch, because that changes your option file and other stuff, anyway i have just finished reinstalling the game so ill see how it goes.

Re: New Bug Found

Woot Woot. Think i found a fix.

I can confirm anyone that has installed the gaming access community patch will be able to change their passing settings once the patch is installed, it just doesn't remember them once you start a game. I tested it without the patch and it worked fine.

Anyhoo, simply make the settings.dat file in my docs/konami/pes09 a read only file.

1. Change the passing settings to your preference, for me Long Passing 5, and manual passing 1.
2. Click save system data (important to not exit and let it auto save, you must save it manually)
3. After it says saved, alt tab out the game and make the settings.dat file read only.
4. Play.

Re: New Bug Found - Gaming Access Community Patch - TEMP FIX FOUND

Ah crap, scrap that it does not work. Grrrrr.

Keep going Mattbuck! I have a similar problem. I will uninstall GA patch if necessary. Did that work for you?

Yeah it does work if you uninstall it.
I don't think there is something wrong with our patch . Tell me what exactly resets - only control type or the whole Option File?

And there is no need of another thread on this topic. You can share your problems here.

If really there are any problems they will be fixed with the next release.

Its your patch. And for some reason it only affects the control settings which don't save. I can adjust the sounds levels, and it saves that. But changing to long passing type 5 does not save, it does initially but once you start to play a game it defaults back, very frustrating.

If i uninstall the patch, it works fine and it remembers my changes.
