Not seeing another thread on this, so wanted to start one.
Konami’s basketball video game series NBA Starting Five appears to be generally considered a commercial failure. The last iteration was a Japan only release in 2005. As we know from this era, Konami was enormously talented and put a lot of effort into their games, so I’m curious if anyone else has played this. I played a little and it was pretty good (though in fairness, most games from 2005, especially sports, are excellent). I could be suffering from recency bias of Football Kingdom - thinking this game is a hidden gem with better gameplay than their more commercially successful competitors.
I know this isn’t exactly a basketball video gaming site but hoping there’s some overlap, especially considering it’s a Konami game. Anybody who has played this or interested in checking it out, let me know your thoughts and experiences.
