New Microsoft Xbox has been announced.

Very little information is currently available.

Except the system will have an SSD and be available next year.
Rumours are they might be releasing two versions of the console.
One which will probably be similar in spec to the PS5 and a more powerful system which will have a higher cost.

The only games running at 8K and 120fps will be 2D platformers...

8K will be for Netflix etc. more than anything else.

8K gaming will not be possible for years.
4K 60FPS only just become possible.

The 120FPS gaming will only be in HD or playing Lemmings.

8K and 120hz. Who gives a toss. Most 4k TV's don't even support 120hz, or rather their HDMI inputs don't support it.
So are we supposed to go out and buy 8k TV's now?
It's like the PS5, too much emphasis on higher numbers being automatically better.
Some things make sense, ram, ssd disk speed/size, etc, but those first 2 really don't.
