airjoca depends... do you need the Demo's and Videos on your Hard Drive all the time? I delete the ones I dont play/Watch anymore and have no issues with storage whatsoever, Still have 10 GB Free on my 360 HDD..... Considering you only get 13GB to start with I think ive done alright.

Brand loyalty in gamers

Fair enough if you support a football team, but why would anyone in their right mind display loyalty to a corporation like Microsoft or Sony (or Sega or Nintendo)? Games are games, and turning a blind eye to the faults of a profit making business, and dismissing other brands in support of your own, is at best blinkered, and, at worst, cripplingly sad.

Wednesday 4-Oct-2006 3:18 PM CVG learns two new versions of the Xbox 360 controller are doing the developer rounds

Speaking this afternoon to CVG, Konami's PES producer Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka has revealed he's currently in possession of two new Xbox 360 controllers and is playing around with them at the PES HQ.

Microsoft sent Seabass the two controllers to allow him to test re-mapped button configurations for PES, the best footy game in town, presumably to make the game as playable on an Xbox 360 pad as it is on the PS2.

It's no secret that the best pad to play Pro Evolution Soccer on is Sony's classic Dual Shock.

This also ties in nicely to previous reports that Microsoft has a unique FPS pad in testing for Xbox 360 too.
 
While it seems a good idea, I would find this a step backwards in development of a totally free flowing game of football, this suggests the only 8 direction of a d-pad, which is pure old school, its time Seabass got his lazy ass into gear and we played WE/PES with 360 degree control on both the PS3 and 360
 
I agree with Holio, full 360 Degree movement should be one of the next things Konami do to make our PES/WE experience all the more better.

But what I'm saying, if MS or Sony do this, then the software companies wont bother trying to implement 360 degree movement, thats all, I find in this day in age, its time we moved forward and not be stuck with the basic movements of a PS1 controller.
 
The worst part is that FIFA used to have 360 degree movement, but they don't since the past few FIFA games.............

That looks a bit like the Old Megadrive Style Dpad! :) Not sure what that button would be as its not clear enough.

That link says it's a third-party controller, wasn't the 'PES controller' sent to Konami to play about with first-party? Regardless, that controller looks poor. It's still got the fundamental d-pad problem of all the directions being on the one circular section, rather than seperate buttons.

As for 360 movement yes it would be nice, but I think would alter the gameplay to such a degree that there'd be a raft of initial playability problems. There have been football games in the past with 360 movement, and it was never quite executed properly. Konami's franchise evolves bit by bit with each version, I don't know if they'll ever dump the 8-way movement as it's at the core of their game every time. It'd essentially be a different game if they switched to 360 control, a big risk I don't think they'll take anytime soon.

Not sure if it was said they sent them first-party controllers though, seems to me it just says M$ sent controllers which can mean anything?????

I understood it as MS developed controllers being sent out. AS for the extra button on the madcatz its a hardware option to toggle with invert axis for fps (up=up or up=down)for when the software(game) doesnt allow it. Dont know if this is the same though, could be.
 
I just bought XBOX 360 premium bundle.. also got NBA 2K7 and man it is SIIIIICK AS HELL.. My PS2 already looks so primitive next to it..lol

I'm also playing on regular non hdtv (will get one soon plasma or lcd).. the graphics and everything else is just sick, human like.. I can only imagine game experience on HDTV. Anyways, you guys have any tips for new xbox 360 users. It does look a bit confusing hi-tech with all this profile creating ETC.. Getting online with 360..do I just use the cable from my cable modem and plug it in 360 and thats it..?

I think its gonna be Rainbow six? I ave been doing some video links with Leslie Grantham, didn't even know he had a 360 till last night.
 
the game(s) im getting for my 360 when i get it are pes6 and mabye fifa 07 afterwards
