Mines still fully boxed untouched, they are going for over £600 all day on ebay. Can I resist?

Sell it mate!

Honestly, look into yourself - Would it be so difficult to be without a X360 for a couple of days? And for around double the profit?

I'll sell if I were you....especially as its a Core right?

Man, I wish I invested in a couple :(

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

Me and I'm running it all on HD lovelyness.

It is just awesome, I love it. I want its babies (the 360s). Its got so many amazing small features that make it superb.

My favourite being the ability to hook it up to your PC (it is obviously anyway to play on Live). This allows you to play all the music from your PC in any game. Also, you can create a quick playlist on your PC (say 10 - 20 tracks you wanna have blasting out while racing around on PGR3), save it then play it on your 360.

Just awesome.

And IMO, the graphics for PD0, on a High Def TV, are as good, if not better than any PC game I have played to date. Yes they are cartoony and shiney, blah blah. But the effects and detail are just amazing

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

Portugal... Gotta love it. :) Got of from work at about 1 pm, went to a mall near my house and what do i find? Lot's of 360's to sell in all shops. Bought me a premium pack.

Now, it's still boxed and i'm thinking about the same as many are: Keep it, sell it, make a toaster out of it? I dunno really....

I think when the PS3 hits these shores, it will be a lot harder to pick one up.

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

If theres plenty available in Portugal mate, sell it on eBay then buy a new one. Hell, buy two new ones, sell them both, then buy one. So you'll have a 360 and alot of cash ;)

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

I have a spare Core thats going on eBay sooner rather than later

While i was at the store, the premiums were selling well, only one left when i left. Still lot's of core's though. It crossed my mind, buying more than one, but maybe i'm not too confortable ripping other people of... :)

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

Queued outside GAME this morning at 8:20, shop opened at 8:55, by the time I left it was 9:30 and folk were still able to walk in off the street and buy cores (all premiums went on pre-orders). They only got 3 hard-drives and I was number 4 in the non-pre order queue, but the woman in front didn't want one so I managed to get it :).

Just the HD cable to get now, nowhere seems to have them.

Not even tried my machine yet that's why there's no opinion on it from here! Not long now!

*Gives Dave consoling hug* :(

Good lad.....but tbh, there are some real idiots with money out there. I will never pay above the retail price for an item.....for the excess they paid, they could have brought another one or better still put it to more of a worthwhile cause. Why can't these people wait?

You're not ripping people off, you're providing a service. A majority of people that want the console, at least in the U.S., can't get one.

Supply/demand.

If you want to be kind to your fellow man, or if you have morals, then don't mark up the console double or triple times retail. Sell it slightly above cost and make a little profit for yourself ;)

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

My rich ass cunt friend bought 5 premiums, all games available, and a 30 inch HDTV in 1 day. His stepdad owns a chain of casinos in Switzerland, and his first car was a fucking SMART at 16. What a faggot.

Disagree.

What if someone is buying their kid a 360 for Christmas, and can just about afford it. They turn up and aren't lucky enough to snag a machine, because somebody had the bright idea to buy more than one and flog it online at a greatly-inflated price. Some tosser with "LOADSAMONEY" then decides, "Ok I'll have that for £600" as that's about a day's worth of spending for him. Is it fair that those with more money should get the machine over those with less?

No, the real culprits are those purposely buying machines to flog online, they are no better than ticket touts at gigs/concerts and should be fucking flogged. Buy a machine to play and leave the rest for folk who wish to do the same, I say.

There you go ;).

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

5 hours since i bought it, still haven't opened it, been playing Pes5 on ps2 with my mates... lol As time goes by i'm more inclined to keeping it.

Been reading on the possiblities of streaming videos and music from a windows media center pc. Does anybody know what kind of computer is required to run Windows xp media center edition? I have a "normal" pc, and i can't find the requirements on the microsoft site anywhere...

Disagree.

Who are you to dictate who can buy what and how much?

Want to know how to stick it to ticket touts and people who buy up all the consoles -- don't buy what they sell.

That's the poetic beauty of supply and demand.

But don't deny anybody the right to profit off this madness by providing a needed service to those who can't get a 360 for Christmas.

I recommended the high road - sell at a small profit. Win-win.

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

Don't go for that. What TV have you got? Model no please :)
I think the VGA cable will be better so go for that, its gives better PQ.

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

I'm using the VGA HD cable with my HDTV. You can still use the component one though, although I saw someone say that the quality is 'slightly' better when using a VGA one

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

You're all invited around to my house to play on my HD-TV.

But be warned. Come here, and I'll kick you between the legs and steal your machine until I get my own.

Cheers.

I never said I was *anybody*, don't turn this into something personal all I did was post my opinion on the matter.

The only reason those people can't get a 360 for Christmas in the first place, is because folk are buying them up in bulk to sell online and there are none left in the shop, that's my point!

I'm repeating myself here, not everyone can afford to splash out in inflated machines, some can barely afford the retail price - why should they be put at a disadvantage to someone to whom money is no object? They shouldn't, they should have the same chance as everyone else.

I couldn't buy a machine to do anything other than play on, it's not morally right. Disagree all you want, if you do then I have no problem but don't take it personally.

As for the 360 I've only had an hour of PGR3 but those who worried about the lack of HD being a problem needent have, it looks ferkin stunning on a regular TV although I did buy the advanced scart lead.

ash, I have a Samsung HDTV can't mind the exact model, but I will need a HD cable to play in HD ;).

Oh aye, also played PES5 on it, works fantastically and maybe it's just me but seems a bit quicker load-time wise? Only played the one game and it wasn't online right enough, but the new pad is lovely for it and I've been using the Dual-Shock 2.

Re: XBox 360 - Official Thread

ClassiD, the resolution of your TV will propably be 1366x768. And via VGA you can play at 1366x768, while with the HD cables you want to buy(they are analogue) are componenet and only do 720p which is 1280x720 and so when it reaches the TV it will have to upscale the picture to the resolution of the actual set which is 1366x768. And so that is why I recomend the VGA cable as you can play at the native resolution of your set.

Also many forums over the internet are saying the VGA is better.
Possibly the component and VGA will hsow the same picture.. but both will show in HD so no worry about that.
