i played race pro on GAME last week and i thougth it was decent but the poor framerate issues put me off it though.
 
I can't believe they didn't fix the slowdown/tearing issues for release, they were blatantly obvious during the Gamersyde preview videos (which Atari forced Gamersyde to take down).
 
Both very good games, Fable II especially. I thought it was one of the better games I've played and sucked up loads of my time. Well worth picking up.

I haven't played L4D for a while now, probably since my Gold ran out. Offline is alright enough but it's much better playing online. And even then, you really want to be playing with friends rather than randoms. Worth picking up if you can arrange games with friends, otherwise I'd wait until it gets cheaper.

Cool, cheers Dags. Apparantly Fable 2 is £14.99 in Blockbuster, so gonna send the missus over to have a look as she likes the sound of it too.

Anyone know how much L4D is pre-owned in Game/BB and the like?
 
I think L4D is still going for the £30 price second-hand, or at least it was a few weeks ago.

Cool, nice one! Just trying to install Fable 2 and the disk is fucked I think, so we got to take it back and then go up to Game to see if they have it :(

Didnt have L4D, but I'm sure Game will have it.
 
I don't see the point in keeping old games, your never gonna play em again so you may as well trade them when they are still worth something and get a newer game cheaper

If its a Film collection would understand but as i said keeping games seems pointless
 
must be just me then

i for example would have no urge to put Fear 1 on when i have Fear 2 or Fifa 07 when 09 is out ect

Why do people think that? I remember Jay saying one time when we were in PS Home that he was surprised I didn't have a keyboard to type with as I have everything else.

Truth be told before I met my girlfriend and was living at my parents house my game collection (combined with what my brothers bought) was pretty much like that. A cupboard full of 360 games, ps3 games then we had a box full of ps1 games and ps2 games.

But one day she mentioned trading in a few of my old crappy games. I let her take some down and when I ended up with about £80 I was made up. So I trade everything now after a few months. I think at the most I only have 4 or 5 games at any one time.

:LOL: Just seems you have every game that comes out each week!

I trade in all the time, but I've got a core of PS3 games that wont get traded that amounts to 21 at the moment!

Missus is starting her Fable 2 game now whilst I carry on working, I'll look at it later tonight.

L4D was £35 pre-owned in Game and Gamestation! Got £25 in credit for BB, so I'll wait till it comes into stock there - though I keep being tempted by RacePro!

Argh, I remember what a pain getting a new console is and wanting to buy loads of games! :LOL:

Missus wants it, but when she read the review, she didnt like the sound of the long loadings etc. Anything been improved since release - or does installing it cut the loading times down/out?

Oh, Fable 2 is quality! Sucked right in on that - more so than Oblivion and Fallout 3.

L4D should be turning up today, looking forward to that and gonna bite the bullet and get Race Pro later as I sold my Resi 5 for £25.
 
I'll have Gold by the weekend, PBB. If I see you on Fable II, I'll send you a message to join your world and we'll do some co-op stuff :)
 
Nah, won't bother with Peggle. I played the PC one quite a bit and can't be bothered doing it again.

I loved it.
It's the game I spend the most time playing this year.
Laodings are not very long but there is a lot since the game as to load each mission every time.
The loadings never bothered me and with the game installed on the hdd it was fast. I don't think it can ruin her gaming.

Righto... from the last couple of days...

Fable 2 - Superb, me and the missus both hooked. So much too it and more interesting than any other RPG I've played.

Race Pro - Despite some glaring faults, I really like it. Reminded me of Grand Prix 3 on the PC (probably not a good thing considering GP3 is donkey's years old), but the feeling on the track is very good even if the graphics are average.

L4D - Absolutely shit......... myself playing this! Love it, gonna crack on tonight.

Picked up a bargain tonight too, TW08, £6 in BB... will do for a bit of golfy action till TW10 on Wii.

Right, think that 'ping' was TW08 install finishing... I'm off!
 
Got the MS Wheel last night... lovely bit of kit - and damn, PGR3 is as superb as I remember! Great fun on that and Race Pro last night.

Wonder why I couldnt get into PGR4, but love PGR3?

Missus spent the WHOLE day playing Fable 2 - she's been playing it since Monday, most of the day. Testiment to the amount of depth that game has for sure...

Anyone else have wives/girlfriends with 360 gamertags that we could all swap - sure all out partners would like to get some hot Uno action going between them? My missus doesnt really use any forums, so she finds it hard to get any XBL friends...?

Just a thought!

My GF loves Fable also, but has been playing under my GT when she has been on, thinking of getting her a 360 for her birthday, but not sure she would want that, nor would she have any clue if someone invited her to join a Fable 2 Co-Op game, shame they never got that right.
