Microsoft Xbox 360

Shopto dispatched my SFIV yesterday. It's a good thing but do you know if it's taking ages to deliver to foreign countries like Play.com ?

Microsoft has said the design flaw causing Xbox Live accounts to be wiped beyond recovery, and losing all earned Achievements, is being investigated.

The company issued a statement after a number of people moaned about the problem, which can be diagnosed by the '8015d080' error code when trying to resubscribe.

The problem comes from Windows Live ID email addresses, such as Hotmail accounts, expiring and being deleted. These then disappear along with the associated Gamertag.

A Microsoft customer service rep told GamesIndustry.biz there was no other way around the problem than to set up a new Gamertag with "your preferred email address". Unfortunately Achievement points are non-transferable.

Whoops.

You can clear games with 0 achievements in them but can't delete games off your profile if you have points in them.

Probably so that your mate can't just go and delete your scores from your profile.

Oh my daaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyssssssssssss!!

Seriously though, it's a bit pricy just to change a bit of text. I guess it stops people constantly changing their gamertag every week.

That's exactly why, if you want to keep changing, you gotta keep paying!!!!!!!!!!!

I got it last night but aint tried it yet, will give it a go at some stage today

Ok, it seems very much like a cross between Driver and GTA.

The cars seem to handle quite well and seem more solid and responsive than in other games. Will be interesting to see what the reviews say

Really? Driver had quite nice handling I thought, for it's time and gametype anyway.

I definately thought Crazy Taxi. It handles nearly exactly like that, even with the "power slide" and turning/drifting. Either that or Midtown Madness. Nothing special at all either way imo. The novelty will wear off quick enough and it's mediocre at best. :)

I played the demo thru once and then deleted it. It won't be a game that I would pay full price for thats for sure

Can anyone some up in a few words how the Riddick demo is? I LOVED the first game, but don't really want to try the demo of the new game.... I want to go straight into it if its good.

Well the full game is the last game as the first half. Thus for you, you would only be playing half a game. I have it, but aint played it yet.

Anyone with a Zavvi near them will want to have a peak in and grab all they can get.

It's still a shit shop, and there aren't that many great deals on (unbelieveable that some games aren't about a tenner now really), but you can't argue with a 360 Elite for £150.

I went into Zavvi a month or so ago and they still wanted £40 for a game like Mirror's Edge thinking they were being nice by slashing £10 off (used to be £50).

Yeah - I went to the Zavvi a couple of months ago in Blue Water and it said it was a closing down sale. It was shit!!! games were pretty much normal price. Nothing sttod out as having a particularly good price.

haha i went to hmv and got it for £25 few months back, just before christmas in saying that.

Over the weekend, pranksters spammed Xbox Live users with a message advertising the sale of 23 year-old Christa Manos' baby girl. The message included her phone number. Manos is not impressed.

She was soon fielding angry, abusive phone calls from parents across the United States, some berating her for being a terrible parent, others content just to call up and threaten her. Which is a little mean. I mean, the ad was offering free shipping.

Manos - from Punta Gorda in Florida - has "a good idea who is responsible", though local authorities are still conducting an investigation. If caught, the perpetrators could face criminal use of information charges.
