It's quite a strange thing, MS actually didnt Region Lock the console as such, they left it up to the developers and publishers, I think all Ubisoft games are region free as such, in fact even on the original XB alot of there games were too; and a few MS published games are too, but not them all, and Madden 09 was region free this year, which is defo a first for EA on the XB platform.

I just wish all companies left region locking out.
 
Today I got a killer deal for a new Xbox 360 Arcade.

For 188.128 GBP, I purchased:

- 360 Arcade Console (includes controller/free arcade games)
- Wireless Xbox 360 Controller (black)
- Charge & Play kit (black)

All together, I thought it was a great deal. I just attached my old HD to the arcade. I can feel a big difference, my old Xbox was bought 4 years ago and the new one is much less noisy, and faster.
 
More killer deal here though, 60Gb Premium, both Gears of War and extra controller, 199.99, I think that's a more sweet deal.

I think my 360 is on the way out. Makes some horrible noises when playing games and sometimes can't read discs :((.
 
My drive is sounding like its on the way out as well

there is a constant humming when a disk is in the drive
 
Yeah as long as it's working I'll keep it but if it breaks I'll buy a new one I've had this one over 3 years so not too bad! :LOL:
 
Well then that's a load of shit and is probably extremely rare, CB must have been very unlucky :(.

I'm looking forward to this new Xbox Experience thing whenever it comes out, installing the games will obviously be the main new feature but any other new feature is welcome too.
I have the 120gb hard drive, so can probably install all the games I play a fair amount, the loud sound from the console when playing a game is one of my only qualms about the 360, and the ability to install games should almost eliminate that.
 
I remember that as well, that's ruined my night that has. I'd almost forgotten about it. :LOL:

I sold it on to someone who said they didn't mind it being banned because they only played offline anyway, still going strong as well from what I've heard. The only 360 I ever had that I trusted not to break down after five minutes and they banned it when it was clean as a whistle. Bar-stewards.
 
The loading time differences are pretty big on The Orange Box, then again you look at Halo 3 and its faster from the DVD :LOL:

I will only put them on so its quieter and saves burning out my lens anyway not for the loading times
 
Sorry if it's been asked a million times, I'm sure it has, but where's the cheapest place to get a new 12 month Xbox Live gold membership card/code?

EDIT 1: Placebo's just suggested this site where it's £27.49, he got his there so obviously they can be trusted; anywhere cheaper than that?

EDIT 2: Found two sellers on eBay selling them cheaper, £24.50 & £25.45, do they look a bit dodgy though?
