Microsoft Xbox 360

Yeah Live will be offline next Monday for maintenance, hopefully the update will hit then

The message states:

Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com will be offline on Monday, 9/29/2008 from 12:01 AM PST up to 24 hours. This service maintenance will allow us to bring some exciting new features and functionality to you this holiday through the New Xbox Experience.

That's when it'll hit, then.

Sheesh it's another fucking "preparation" update, still not the actual "fall update" we're all waiting for......

"Xbox Live Service Maintenance

On Monday, 9/29/2008 from 12:01 AM PST for up to 24 hours, Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance. As a result, Xbox LIVE and the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won’t be able to post.) The remainder of Xbox.com will be available with limited interruptions.

This service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available later this fall.

Let me reiterate: When the service returns, you will not have any new features and you will not have the new Xbox experience update. That will happen later this Fall.

As usual, I’ll make a post and update my Twitter when the service returns."

Fucking M$ got one of those £25 live cards off ebay, they wouldn't let me put it on until i put my card details in then they charged me £40 for an extra year.

That's weird, presumably you went to the option of applying the code or whatever? That's what I did with my 1 year gold in Singapore and had no problems putting it in.....

I know other people who've had the same done to them Placebo, without specifying any "automatic renewal" option.

That be poopie, no way in hell I'm giving MS my credit card details, I've read horror stories about MS refusing to remove the details once in place and recharging each year whether you want it or not. I'll stick with the pre-paid cards, well that or I'll use my Singapore credit card which will be finished with soon once we've emptied the account :)

They've already got my credit card details and there's no removal option; I'm nervous of ringing them about it in-case they decide to take £40 off me for no reason.

at this rate, this "spring" and i quote "SPRING" dashboard may suffer a similar fate as sony's Home in terms of the amount of times its been delayed.

dont forget. this update was suppose to be a spring update.

There never was a Spring Update planned, ppl just expected one like usuall but Microsoft never said there was one.
They only came out and said there wouldnt be one when ppl started asking questions about where the Spring update was.
