Microsoft Xbox 360

Okay, that doesn't leave you with much.

Burnout Paradise is out on Friday, learn to love it. ;)

I had nothing but trouble with Netgear routers, would constantly disconnect, and the legs broke for the vertical stand, then the end bit on the wire that goes into the back of it snapped. Thought they were very poorly made to be honest.

Really wanted to like this but I can't. Tried it at my bro's place earlier - it's just an arcade racer which no-one will be playing in 2 weeks time.

Meh, I am bored with the 360 at the moment! All I play is FIFA.

I for once am actually playing the 360 quite a bit. PGR4, FIFA, Forza 2 and DiRT are keeping me coming back for more. Cant wait for GTA IV now

Bored of FIFA, I love PGR but the Kudos challenges annoy me (I JUST WANT TO RACE FFS!), completed COD4 and there are no achievments for playing online. Just leaves Orange Box which I'm not in the mood for at the moment. I might sell my 360 and buy a Spectrum again.

lol stop eating them dodgy Shrooms Plan M.... FIFA still provides me with something new each time I play it... sometimes new bullshit to hurdle over but hey ho. PGR4 is great fun, yes getting kudos is annoying at the best of times but its good fun.

Hmmm i am in need of some advice.

I have £250 of GAME vouchers which I have just found out that I have to use by the end of the week or they will be invalidated.

So been thinking what to buy? I have narrowed it down to either a 360 or a Sony PSP. I already own a PS3 and am very happy with it. Previously owned a 360 but sold it after having it replaced 5 times, although I hear that the new Premiums are now much more reliable, the only thing that is stopping me buying a 360 is that is there any point of owning both a 360 and PS3 as the games are very similar. The other option is the PSP, I commute to work everyday (1 hout journey) and would only use it for playing games as have an ipod touch for video etc. The only thing is that the game selection on the PSP is not that great.

Any help would be appreciated.

PSP is farrrr over-rated, I'd much rather have a Nintendo DS.

But then saying that, in your position, I'd buy a 360. The newer models use the newer chipset which is more reliable, although obviously some do fail still, but nowhere near as many as the old board.

Tough one there, have a look at GAMEs extended warranty as well. I think it covers accidental damage and everything, and they replace instore? I am not 100% sure, but it saves MS fixing it, and you will get a new machine.

I think this is a matter of opinion.... and depending on the Audience too. The DS tends to target the younger gamers where as the PSP is for current PlayStation players who want to take that experience where ever they go. If you ask me the PSP isnt over-rated and has actually done a decent job thus far.

Get a 360 mate, join us all :)

Or, you could just stand outside Game and offer to sell your vouchers for cash?
(I can't be held responsible for any legal action taken against you)

That's a point, people sell vouchers on HUKD all the time, might be worth offering them on there for £230 or something?

Thanks for the tips guys.

I think that I will buy a 360, hopefully I can get the newer ones and it is more reliable than the ones I had in the past. I looked at the games for the PSP not much interests me so it would just end up gathering dust.

I think that i'll get a 360 with Bioshock and Mass Effect.

Have a look at the exclusive 360 games to see if its worth it.

If you actually want to play games while on your way to work the psp could be the decent option. I have one, but hardly ever play it tbh. Usually only on longtrips by plane and such.

Selling them online could be the best option if you are having trouble deciding if you want either to begin with.

Also how do you manage to get 250pound worth of vouchers? Birthday gifts?

For my last birthday I told my family that instead of getting me "surprise" presents just to get me GAME vouchers. I did have over £300 but spent some on PS3 games, in fact when I was buying Burnout on Saturday the shop assistant said to me "you do know that these have to be used by 31st January". At first I thought it was just some numpty game assistant trying to wind me up, but checked at another store and they said the same thing.

360 and ps3 will have the same games almost. Why not get a Wii for a change?

Ok picked up a 360 last night. Managed to get one of the newer versions with the HDMI and the drive is deffo quieter than the last one that I had.

However I am completely out of touch with 360 games as I have really been concentrating on PS3 releases. Would appreciate some game recommendations.

Call of Duty 4, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Saints Row (if you're into GTA games then you might want to get this and for a cheap price too, or maybe just wait for GTA IV this coming april), The Orange box, Halo 3 and Fifa 08 (for some great fun with evoweb members).

Guys silly question but I can't find a HDMI port on my 360? That means it hasn't got one right? I have the HDMI cable though so options are available to me?

:lmao:
Yes, it means your 360 doesn't have HDMI.
Sell the HDMI cable? Or buy a new 360, all of them have HDMI now.
