Microsoft Xbox 360

I'm sure you can all wait... its not really such a big update. I really hope everyone won't be sitting at their XBox360s when it is supposed to go live in USA, waiting for the update...

Becanes told me that he and his family are having a Dashboard Party ...
Yes, its true, he emailed this to me:

I couldn't be arsed "styling" my beard like that, just makes you look like even more of a twat.

Yep, just got it myself.

The blades FLY in and out now, saves time. But the content of all the blades takes aaages to load, there's just a 360 icon with the spinning dots around it for 10-20 seconds.

Don't like the new layout for the Arcade bit either, bit weird. But it'll be a case of getting used to it.

I had to pay Microsoft £59.99 to sort my ring of red lights out, im not best pleased with them.

Apparently I ran out of warranity after 3 years and 1 day and 3 hours.

My PS3 has caused me no problems yet, touch wood.

However I am missing my Xbox Live :(

Was the clans bit a confirmed feature? I could have swore I saw a video of it so I'm presuming it was, but I can't find it anywhere... Once again, that was the bit I was most looking forward to...

Is there an option on the XBL section to view only full games? I've got 90+ trials and it's a pain scrolling through to find the full games.

Haha, as always I'm left bitterly disappointed:

Notably missing: clan or group support. With all this social networking stuff going on, we'd really like to be able to make a group of peers or setup a clan of hardened UNO warriors. With the new location feature, maybe we could limit our play sessions to peeps from Philly or [fill in your city here]. Greenberg said, "I think it's a great idea ... and it's something that would make sense." Well, we won't take all the credit ...

Also missing: the ability to boost that 100 friend limit. Greenberg explained, "My list is full, your list is full, but the majority of Live members today don't even have 30 friends on their friends list ... hopefully, sooner than later, we'll be able to take care of that." As I've been crawling through friend's friends lists, I've come across a bunch of people who are totally maxed out – I'm looking at your xXBillyGates420Xx.

Nope. The blades move quicker, you can state your real name now (plus location and "bio"), and you can see your friends' friends lists. Apart from that it's the same, apart from insignificant things like a change in the way some menus are sorted.

If you have a 360 it's just an update, neither good nor bad. It's not worth getting a 360 for, put it like that.

XviD support is easily the biggest update :) I'll be able to watch films through my 360 and surround sound now, if only they could turn down the noise the DVD drive makes ...

Ah yeah, forgot about that. I've had TVersity through the 360 since before I can remember so I don't use the built-in support for any video content (thank God).

I use Linux so can't use TVersity, not worth the hassle anyway really. I've got my PC connected to my TV so I can watch PC content on my TV anyway, but I think the 360 will upscale my videos as my PC is only running at 1024x768 whereas I can run at higher resolutions on my 360.
