Ok just got off the phone to my local GAME UK store...the Plymouth,Devon branch.

i asked if i needed to bring my receipt to pick-up my pre-order tin..they said no blah blah

I said did the microsoft rep who installs the Demo pods in GAME give out anymore information about the UK launch?. (Was told they do)

He said yes,the real number of Xbox360's at launch is 500,000..NOT 50,000
Apparently that was a MAJOR missprint in the shareholders booklet and that the UK will get so many (500,000) there will probally be some SPARE in the GAME UK shops floating around.

He then went onto say that if you put a £20 deposit pre-order down with GAME you will now 100% get one!.

Hope this news is well recieved.

Asked at my local Asda, said they're definitely getting both packs in but in very limited numbers and it's first-come first-served. Also said only selected stores are getting them so if you're planning to get one this way (like I am), then make sure they're going to get some in the first place.

got to play yesterday at ebgames! i played call of duty 2 as there was no fifa (i thinks its cuz i live in canada =/).
the game was pretty good. but everything seemed a little bright, but it mite just be the settings of the tv. graphics were pretty good especially the smoke. threw a smoke grenade and the smoke just amazed me! the controller was really nice too. great change from the current xbox one.

thats all i can think of rite now. ill add anything if i can remember anything.

Asked my local Asda today, they said they're getting 17 XB360s in and selling them on a first come first serve basis, on the stroke of midnight. I'm gonna get there for about 11pm then! ;)

Not worth the effort. I'll just walk in to a store in a couple of months and buy one with no problems. I'm currently enjoying my PS2 too much to care about a system with barely any games I want.

Pre-ordered from GAME.net and got my confirmation email yesterday stating a would receive it on launch day. They even threw in some money off codes which saved me £10 on the games and accessories which i had ordered from play.com

It's not that straightforward. 360 games must support HD but PES5 is not a 360 game, it's an Xbox game which is compatible with 360. I guess we'll not fully know until somebody tries it, but as it was first mentioned that it was running on 360 at the X05 event and no one commented on it looking better or running in HD, I doubt it.

You swear correct J Allard said even Original Xbox Titles will run at 720p so I presume it is as straightforward as that.

I'm not too clued up on how HD works. Surely the game itself needs to be designed to run at HD to see any benefit from running it that way? It might well run in that mode but that doesn't mean it'll look any better if it's not been designed to run that way.
