Microsoft Xbox 360

going back to audio for the 360, i have a stereo with 5.1, but only has one aux input..does anyone know of a multi aux connector so i can run my ipod, 360 and sky all through one aux input at the back of my stereo

I'm not giving up, Zelda on the DS is immense, and Real Football 2008 looks alright as well, they will be my strength.

I've sent an email to GAME's website (as I notice they've stopped selling Elites altogether - they had them on the site at the beginning of the week and now they've just disappeared, I think something funny's going on). I'm going to get to the bottom of this.
 
I had the same problem, but when I connected my 5.1 aux to my TV, I have an option on my TV of which channel the 5.1 comes out on. So I have my 360 on EXT-5, Sky on EXT-1 etc, I change to the EXT I want and it'll give me 5.1 for that channel. Have a look if your TV has a similar option.

What I said was for an extra £20, he might as well get the extra 100Gb HDD space. But if you wont use the space, save £20 :)
 
Just get the Halo 360 then, its meant to be the quietest one so far, the Elite is quieter than my previous launch machine though Cammey and well on Dash its silent, come on MS, let me put my games on my HDD!!! Woot woot, silent gaming!

They've reduced the prices then, I was given £280 for the Premium refund.

I'm tempted to get the Halo 360 but the thing is I don't really like Halo... And if I'm getting HDMI with it I might as well get the bigger hard drive as well and wait for the Elite.

Bastards though.
 
Just rang Gamestation for a laugh, to see if they had any more information. He said to me "we're not getting any in until the 20th October". Fuuucking hell.

Xbox Live has been rich with delicious demos lately, and this continues the trend, providing yet another game sample you'll actually want to try: Virtua Fighter 5. We were really excited to give this a spin until we learned the horrifying truth about VF 5: The speed of throws has been reduced from 8 frames to 12 frames! What's the point of even playing? ... No, just kidding. We don't care about that. But we thought some of you might care, and let it never be said we're not looking out for you.

The truth is, we were excited to try the demo but then were even more excited when we saw some of the character names. Sure, you have perennial classics like Wolf Hawkfield and Jeffry McWild. But now you have lucha libre wrestler "El Blaze" which, roughly translated, means "The Blaze." Who says games don't teach you anything?

Thats how mine is setup and its not proper 5.1

The same sound it coming out of all the speakers

One guy reckons it's to sell the Halo 360s and once they're gone ("limited edition") they'll be back producing Elites. So it looks like I won't have a 360 until after my birthday (Friday 19th, a week from today), what a load of bastards.

I hate to say it but yeah, I'm going to have to. I can delay my FIFA games for a week, and PGR4 won't arrive until sometime next year thanks to the fucking postal strikes. I'd feel stupid paying for something I don't really want (and that I could add 100gb onto the top of for £20 which is naff-all really).

Zelda on the DS better last me. :|
 
Just bought an Elite myself this weekend after ringing 5 game 4 game stations, 3 hmv and 6 comet and currys even tried pc world all sold out! Managed to get one from Virgin in the Lowry Centre in Manchester i got the Elite Forza with extr pad and Halo for £333 oh theyhave one left...
 
I need advice guys.

I've been told the Elites won't come in until 20th October, and I've been thinking about it - the only thing I want the Elite for is the better chipset and the HDMI port (not much point in a hard drive that big IMO, I won't be using their video service at any point).

I've asked my local GAME if they have the old Premiums or the new ones with HDMI, and they have the new ones. £250 for the console with PGR4 (already pre-ordered but I'll send it back for a refund, so the total cost will be £210 more or less).

Do these new Premiums have the new chipset as well as the HDMI port? Or is it really worth hanging on and paying an actual total of £90 more for the Elite?
 
Yep, the HDMI port is only on the Zephyr chipset which is the same as the Elite I believe. For £210 I'd go for the Premium, you can always pick up the 120Gb HDD later if you really need it.
 
Do you have a colour you want? Black or white?

By the sound of it i would go for the premium, you could get a few nice games with that 70 pound extra of the voucher.
 
Get the premium, and spend that £70 on fancy accessories like wirless headset, webcam, steering wheel etc :)
 
I think my 4th 360 is on the way out. Got a load of disc unreadable messages as I was gaming this afternoon. What a fucking shed of a console it is!!!
