Medal Of Honor

Games like this are multiplayer games with a single player add-on.

I quite enjoyed Bad Company 2's single player, although relatively short. The multi-player game, on the other hand, is the best online game I've ever played.

Any reasons for the 7 to 8 range scores?

From videos I've seen it just looks like they took Bad Company and tried to copy COD in a few ways and thought that would be enough.

Reading the Giant Bomb and IGN reviews last night it's all down to it being a very scripted game, there are parts which you cant alter, i.e. a man running to set off a warning, you cant kill them before they set it off, no matter how many times you shoot them.

Also there are moments which you have to re-do, say an AI soldier is stuck in a doorway and cant move, and thats them clipping through the door, so you cant get past them and you have to restart. Silly bugs, checkpoints not placed at even times through a level.

Lighting is suppose to be amazing during daytime, but abit meh for night time missions.

My PS3 Tier 1 copy arrived today, in two minds whether to open it or just return it. I went PS3 for the MoH Frontline HD remake, but reading the reviews, not sure now. I have 4 weeks anyhow if I want to send it back to Game.

Yep, scripted all the way. And the highest difficulty is a joke. I think I died maybe 6-7 times in just one sitting.
The MP is also boring. After 2 hours, there's no challenge. But still a majority of campers.

5/10

The single player campaign wasn't too bad but it was short as hell and far, far too 'Hollywood Blockbuster' for my liking. And like some reviews have suggested some segments in the single player do feel like a shooting gallery similar to COD and BF.

The multiplayer is quite enjoyable though. Its a huge improvement over the beta.

Is there co-op mode online for this?

Cheers

No I don't think so mate.

Just the single player, a Tier 1 mode which is basically completing the single player levels under a 'par time' and the 24 player multiplayer.

I don't like it. Doesn't run as smooth as Modern Warfare or look as nice. It's actually more manic online than MW too, which I don't like. I guess that's what they must have wanted though with small maps and 24 players in one game. The lack of weapons is annoying too.

All this has done is made me want Black Ops even more.

I won't be able to return it now that I've opened it will I? Guess I'll have to trade it in for Rock Band 3.

depends where you bought it from time. I've bought games from gamestation, got it home, played it and then took it back a day or 2 later and told them it was just a load of shit and they gave me a credit note to the full value I paid.

Dunno mate, I don't play SP ever!

ShopTo don't do opened returns, so I'll just trade in MOH for RB3 next week.

I'm guessing the length of COD Black Ops will be the same as the last CODs. 8 ish hours or something like that. Though I read that MOH was 8 hours and then I've seen people claiming they did it on hard in 4 hours.
