If we had got VDS a year or two before we did, we wouldnt have had a problem.
 
It's not Howard's fault, the linesman who ruled Scholes's goal offside should be blamed much more than Tim Howard. Btw, when somebody does something special like Taylor or Drogba did, and the keeper doesn't expect it, it's almost unstoppable. I still can't believe that Carroll was picked ahead of Howard a few seasons ago. I don't think he recovered from that but he's done brilliantly for Everton.
 
I think the case of Timmy Howard is just a bit sad.His illness will play a huge part in his life as a footballer.I am not stereo-typing or whatsoever but I think with the huge pressure to perform in every game at a massive club like United along with his illness...I couldnt see how longer he could have cope.I guess Tony Coton and Sir Alex himself has forseen this.They saw the potential in him too and they did gave him his chance.What do you mean he wasnt given a chance Saunders? He was given the number 1 jersey for cryin out loud.In the end, after a series of crucial blunders..they assume he wouldnt make it very far and was sold to Everton mutually.End Of.

what i meant is that howard made two bad blunders, was dropped and not really given much a chance after that. VDS has two blunders and sir alex doesnt blink. I think as some people have said sir alex never forgave him for that porto game.

How? Maybe by being a hell of a lot more consistant? Howard had a great first season and then started sucking ass in the next. The fact that someone like Carroll kept him out of the side showed how bad Howard got.
VDS is so amazing at times that he has single handedly kept us in many tough games. And he's a much more vocal and commanding keeper than Howard will ever be. The only thing I remember from Howard is that cock up against Porto and a penalty save in (I think) his first game for us in the Community Shield.
And its not as if he never got a chance with us cuz there was a time when Howard took his place back from Carroll for a bit but nothing had changed.

Good move if you ask me - he will get games and he is arguably going into one of the best up and coming teams in the prem (Although I hate to say it!) Spurs need to sort out their defence aswell.

He made a good footballing decision - unlike Sidwell!
 
hmm weird innit i would have thought he would get into the first team at utd giggsy is losing his prowness abit as you saw at the cup final i reckon bale woul be a good move now anyone actually want Viduka at utd I certainly don't, I get the feeling that utd will get Eto Liverpool fans are talking with thier heads up their arses when they think they are gonna get Eto and Torres

Why? Because he's best mates with that drugged up wanker rio, you've got just as much of a chance of getting Eto'o as Liverpool have and you can have Torres he's overrated and overpriced and if you're gullible enough to pay £20M for Hargreaves then you'll have no problem splashing £25M+ on Torres.

£20 for hargreaves is wrong its actually £17mill and money well spent I don't want Torres never have done, would prefer berbatov but he aint leaving and I know eto is going after falling out with the barca manager plus Henry to replace eto at barca

BTW your the one who spent millions on shite players such as heskey, cisse, diouf and morientes
 
He's a first team player in a team that just won the league title. Not sure about you but that shows me he's a great player and justifies his price tag.

I understand, but I watch football, I consider myself quite knowledgeable, but NO-ONE will convince me that Carrick was worth 18million.

mate if you ever stop watching the videos of your glory days of bitter blues which were million years ago you would have actually seen the performances which justifies his price tag such as the one against roma for example
