People were saying Carrick aint worth that either, yet we win the league.

Hargreaves, Carrick & Scholes xan work especially in Europe.

Should get Malouda as well.

And Ronaldo did too. Can you guarantee that they'll score as many goals next season? What if one of them gets injured? Or both?

You were champions for a lot of reasons, and if i had to break it down to one, it would never be Carrick.
 
I think he will. Teams are usually given 3 extra medals that they could choose to give to whoever they want.
 
Smith got one and he didnt play enough games... was nice to see that though. Henrik Larsson will get a special thank you from us at the FA Cup Final for his contributions.

Smith,Kusczack and another bloke(Richardson?) received the champions medal through special commendation.I doubt Larsson will get a medal but a special momentum would suffice.

your tottally wrong about carrick, i do think rooney will score that many more..

carrick was the glue from the defense to the midfield, we didnt have that in the past two years, everything would break down from the back to the midfield and our players would get frustrated. Once we brought carrick in he was able to link everything thru scholes or ronaldo.. you obviously have not seen united play enough this season. Carrick is one of the best passers of the ball in the prem.

Why are we the only ones that can see that?
 
I think anyone who watches can see what an impact Carrick made, and not just link up. He's positionally very sound, and as the season went on got much better at plugging passing lanes. My only concern of him and Hargreaves together would be that they'd both stay back, but just towards the end of the season he started getting forward. He's not fast, but he's big and strong and if he were to practice shooting this summer could chip in a bit more. I agree a trio of Scholes, Carrick and Hargreaves would work well, particularly with Fletcher and O'Shea as a back up for any/all of them.

If park is out long term (and really how valuable was he this season?) we're stretched a bit on the wings. Ole can do a job, as can Fletcher, but they're not starters at those positions. Richardson will be gone soon I'm sure, which only leaves Giggs, Ronaldo and Lee Martin. Up front I'm not too worried, Smith, Saha (well for about half a season), Rooney, Rossi and Ole should be alright, maybe pick up another larsson esque figure (Gudjohnsen?) as support. Think we'll go for a spread scoring approach again next year, rather than the Ruud model...
Defense and keeper wise we're fine. In good shape to defend the title i'd say!

Dont leave me out Rune.:D The thing about Carrick is that he gets the job done without being fancy.Almost unseen but his presence brings assurance.Carrick is the modern deep playmaker.Probably one of the best passers of the ball in the Prem.

Need a out & striker mate as Smith does not score enough & Rossi could turn out crap.

You can never have too many strikers. We needed on towards the end of the season.
 
i still believe that O'Shea is better as a DMF because he let's ppl by him a little too easily..and with the pressure, him and Brown is very likely to mess up....
 
Nani signs a new 6 year contract & his contract release clause is increased to £20m.

Alternatively, maybe t's an agreement between Nani and Sporting to screw United out of an additional £10m or so. Which I bet they're wishing they tried to do with Ronaldo about now...
 
Its annoying when that happens... Man United want to sign one of our Startlets so lets jack the price up!!

Its ok when Chelsea come knocking on their door though because they have unlimited money.. The transfer market sucks!
