Manchester United Thread

I know we all have an idea about how much the Serie A title costs, but how much is a Greek official going for these days?

Yellow card for Evra for probably hte softest foul I've ever seen. Subsequent terrible calls on Rooney and Scholes, all in 2 minutes...maybe he's just too tired. Seriously, how do we have such sh*t part time refs doing such big matches?

All credit to Kaka, great couple of goals. Haven't been impressed with Milan other than that. Thought United looked comfortable if not for that one player.
 
Really beach? From what ive seen, although admittedly ive been doing the ironing at the same time (stop laughing at the back!) milan have been comfortable with some good football being played in manu half, with manu relying more on the speed of the attack to make something. Think its still fairly balanced overal though.

As for the ref, he's looked fairly good imo. But i did miss the evra yellow so cant comment on that tackle, the scholes one looked a foul, and so did the rooney one imo.

Hopefully the second half will show an attacking manu going for it, could make a good game great :D
 
Evra is out. Schole had better not get booked. Neville may be back which is a bonus.

Call back Jonny Evans i tell ya. Sunderland a pratically up anyway
 
Not what SAF would've wanted though. Milan could easily defend a 1-0 win at the San Siro and go through.

your kidding right? What the hell as happened to Serie A? A few years ago the serie A teams would have shut up shop and defended for their lives and took the win, they were notoriously hard to beat. nowadays they cant hold their water, and the goalies are fucking crap!

SAF is you reading this (yea right) if we are pratically thru to the final in the 2nd leg, take Scholes off.

If he misses another final i would shed a tear for him

Also Scholes just STAY ON YOUR BLOODY FEET!!!!
 
Great game, and manu were the worthy winners. Milan probably just about edged the first 60min but once gattuso went off and manu sepped up a gear milan were always hanging on.

The return is gonna be interesting, cant see milan not scoring, but then i can see manu scoring aswell tbh.

And milan were fortunate not to get a few yellow cards in the second half with some poor tackles near the edge of the box.

@ antred, they looked fine till the speed went up a notch. They just cant seem to handle prem speed when its played fully like the final 30min tonight. Oh well, off to watch a 0-0 tommorow :(

Why when you have a good win do you all sound like some corny american advert? I can hear the classical music coming to a climax..........And then some trashy mastercard logo appearing ;)

Yeah I hear what your saying. Milan should have closed doors after they went 2-1 up. Instead Man Utd took the initiative. Like I said before though, SAF wouldn't be happy with the 2 goals they cenceded. Kaka's second was produced from comical defending in my view. If United still have defensive problems in the second leg, I see no reason why Milan couldn't nick the tie... Or even produce a decent win in the San Siro.

Like Clockender just said, Milan are probably favourites.
 
seems to be a feature of Milan teams, blitz in the first half, then give up and commit suicide in the second half

you can say all you like about the 2 away goals, we'll score 7 again just to take the piss

Its a good result as its better than 1-2 also we can draw & go thru!

Good luck 2moro against Liverpool. After that performance on Sunday cant see you guys winning.

I really enjoyed that one, taking nothing off Kaka' because he his such a great player but I couldnt beleive what was happening for the second goal that United conceded, fair enough they are down to the bones for the defence but that was shocking, whatw as Evra thinking ?. Apart from that great performance in the second half, they really took the game by the scruff of the neck and dominated the game, I think the departures of Maldini and Gattuso helped this alot though. Scholes and Carrick really got hold of the game which set up United for the much deserved win in my opinion. What can you say about Rooney, absolutley brilliant he never gave in, I was truely shocked about the last min goal. But this is only half time, a win or a draw will do, they have to win. We shall see....
 
you would, funny how when you draw 1-1 with valencia at home you all thought it was a great result

ps after your game against Porstmouth who would have thougHt you'd have destroyed Roma??
