Manchester United Thread

I think O'Shea summed up his performance when rosicky shot wide late on, after a lay off from fabregas: O'shea could have layed out and blocked or at least put the player off, instead he just kind of looked shocked and didn't move. Not a DMF. United showed exactly whats wrong with them today. They need someone to let scholes get forward, and to connect play. We lacked that and paid the price.
 
what a way to return to last years shitty mediocrity. Rooney looked disinterested, Ronaldo was just awful, Saha didn't do much, and the midfield and defence were very shaky. Arsenal deserved to win, and now we're level on points with Chelsea, we've gone and blown the title again FFS! Chelsea will now continue to win, and we'll be drawing all the time. This is so fucking frustrating
 
I was never too confident of winning any trophies this season to be honest, especially after fucking up in the transfer market. But I do expect the correct players to get selected in important matches such as these. Not underling incompetent lazy ass fuck wits like O'Shite and co ahead of someone who was our only signing of the summer that set us back 14-18million.
 
We've had shit games in the past but never have I been so surprised with how shit we've played...until today.
 
Terrible...just terrible! Arsenal definitely deserved the win but it doesnt take away as to how crap we were. Time and time again we said that we need a defensive midfielder and now it shows if it never did before.
 
SAF's master plan, play a anchorman out on the wings and a defender in midfield. How many more seasons of this shit do we have to take.
Argghh the guy needs a slap and reality check. Just get rid of Fergie and all his cowboys because things are going to go from bad to worst. Today we got exposed, the signs were there against a weak celtic side and now our first big test and we are no match. Just 2 injuries and we already look depleted. This season will be like groundhog day of last season but worst as we'll finish trophyless. You watch, it will be us 2nd in the league, knocked out of the second round of CL(thats even if we get there) and quarter finals of the FA cup and we wont make it far in the Careless Cup. I'm so pissed off I just want to kill someone, any volunteers?

I think we need a new manager too. I think Fergie has lost it. In past matches if in the 1st half we werent playing well he used to be able to turn it around in the 2nd half but that did not happen against the Gooners.Our season is in danger of collapsing now.

It was a shocking performance to be honest.I was totally clueless when I saw the starting 11...The game was topsy turvy and both team couldnt really grab hold of it.We were shite and we lost,thats it but I'm glad we lost to Arsenal instead of some other lowly teams.Poor decision made by Sir Alex in this starting 11.Well,its just our very first lost and its to Arsenal,which isnt bad at all.Lets just see where this loss will bring us to.

Ps:Milanista,I know we were linked to Lippi just before the season starts.Has the interest been renewed?
 
Exactly, Phrase. We should still finish above Arse and Livershit because we'll probably despatch more of the weaker teams easier. Still realistically didn't expect to finish above Chelsea and I still don't.
 
come on guys... chelsea lost one game too... we also lost only one game! we lost to the gunners who played us off the park! We did not lose to boro/wigan/reading or some other team! its the Gunners! look at the way Cesc totally outplay man u. Its still early in the season, calm down pls!
 
I'm dredding the day giggs and scholes retire. If it wasn't for those two, our team would be shit and look very ordinary. I know I'm complaining alot, but its better than pretending everything is all rosy and believing that our squad is well covered, as SAF would have us fans believe, and some of you think im too negative but someone please explain to me what manager would spend 18mil on a midfielder and not use him?. Trust me 2nd place at end of season wont be good enough, SAF has got class, but I think he has lost it now and should do the decent thing and step down at the end of the season and admit that he hasnt made any progress with the club since he threw away his retirement plans. Trust me this would be a wise move as he will earn alot of respect, than if he stubbornly carried on believing this team can win things and is good enough, when it blatantly isnt. Lippi would be more than ideal, a man who doesnt wait til nearly the end of the game to make a change when things clearly are not working out.

:applause: you got me clockender. To be fair I'm more upset with the performance more than gutted by arsenal beating us. This performance stinks of last season when we were in the champions league against benfica and needed win but couldnt string more than 2 passes together and got beat in disgracful fashion.

yesterday has been coming, we didnt look convincing against spurs and if celtic had a bit more quality they could have beaten us.

we never looked like winning, we couldnt get near arsenals 5 man midfield, if henry, RVP been playing they could have done some real damage.

On the other hand it took a couple of decent saves from their GK to keep them in it, but all in all we didnt deserve anything yesterday.

So we can get over this 100% start hype over and get into it propa, reading away will not be easy, no excuses gotta bounce back and get the three points, THEN we will see what the team is made of.
 
Well we were crap simple as that Clockender. We didnt deserve anything and it was a disaster from the moment Kusczak brought down Adebayor for the Pen which I thought was a Pen and Kusczak was a bit rash the way he came out. As Alucard said I smell last 2 seasons problems re-occuring now, we cant win when we need to win. So now Chelsea are level with us again and that makes things harder for us. I can see us struggling to finish 2nd unless SAF sorts this out soon! He has lost it for sure because United teams in the past if they hadnt been playing well in the 1st half in the 2nd half you would almost see a totally different United come out and play especially at Old Trafford. Im very disappointed and certain players (they should know who they are) did not play well at all and need a huge kick up the arse... not mentioning any names (A certain Portuguese player wearing No 7 for which I dont believe he is worthy of)

i actually thought fletched played one of his best games in a united jersey, he was passing well and defending well, oshea was absolutley horrible
 
To be fair to o'shea though he had a complete nightmare of a game, DM isnt his postion, the guy is a defender. We need to stop playing players out of position, its fucking amateur.

I want to say something constructive about manUtd performance and I came with this:That goalkeeper has a future in ManUtd honestly and I hope you step up to chelsea because they look less sharper than last season


@AL your a smart bloke no one can say anything bad about manutd that you haven`t mention...leaving us speechless and pointless remarks

Ha, you almost made me laugh there, but not quite! It was funny earlier as if you hadnt already noticed clockender has already qouted me about about my predictions so its a bit old Doormat.
