I believe we will get a new number 10.Sir Alex loves to buy strikers and after hie number 1 poacher left for Madrid,there is no way he will leave that number vacant.He's still looking at a couple of players now it seems and this coming week should be interesting.I seriously believe there would be a new forward and another midfielder signing up for us soon....Btw,would Carrick be given number 16?
 
The future at Manchester United of Cristiano Ronaldo remains in doubt today after reports of death threats.

Portuguese newspaper Record reports Ronaldo believes he will have "to leave" United after the fall-out from his blow-up with Wayne Rooney during the World Cup.

Ronaldo says he "wants to play in Spain" and "for either Real Madrid or Barcelona".

The newspaper says Ronaldo's home was ransacked by a group of vandals, which saw some of his furniture damaged. The winger also received death threats over the phone and by letter.

A source says Ronaldo's niece was also harassed when identified as being part of his family.

Seems like BS to me, but it would suck if he had to leave because of that.

Reyes cant hack it no wonder hes home sick and van Persie seems hot and cold, its a good job Henry stayed for them lot otherwise they would have been shite this season

Why the eye roll? I never mentioned Adebayor.

If you look at his track record in transfers, it's second to none in the premier league.
 
They've both shown flashes of brilliance though, might blow hot and cold, but you could say the same about Ronaldo. I'll be glad to see the back of Reyes though, dont like the kid one bit.
 
He's now denied it according to SkySports, he has no intention of leaving the Scum. So it means we all have to put with his fairy face for more painful months, I hope he gets another few games under his belt - the kind where he gets kicked more often than passed to.
 
why the hell are we discussing reyes's future in the manchester Utd thread? Its not like Utd would be interested in him since we have ronaldo and park who are ten times more effective than that diving piece of shit.

16 Mascherano (top priority)
10 Torres (probably not)

If we have the last two players there is no more excuses for SAF for the coming season
 
yeah, i'd give Carrick 12 too....16 is way too much pressure...at least for this year...

ok fine...maybe i exagerated in rooney and Ronaldo being the best duo in Europe....but then, i did say a huge IF...hahahahaha...

Torres?? even after him saying that he won't leave??? what's with people?? hm......
 
27 mil pounds...............no way he's worth THAT much.............unless he comes and shows that he's alot better than both Sheva and Ruud...if not.....27 mil............we can split that in half and get Mascherano and even Tevez or Defoe (even though SAF said that he's of no interest)

Between them, they have more duties on the pitch and cover more positions, they have a larger variety of skills and abilities between them and also have age on their side. I think the best way to sum it up is that while Ronaldinho and Etoo are brilliant in a few key areas, Rooney and Ronaldo are slightly weaker but cover more key areas.
Of course its dumb to compare them right now cuz Ronaldinho is already the world's best player, while Rooney and Ronaldo are still potential stars and could turn out to have worse careers than most expected.

but quite simply, neither are strikers, and we havent got any strikers (Saha is too shite to count)

SAF seems to think Rosi is ready for premiership.

After seeing him in pre-season he will be great but needs to go on loan.
 
i honestly think that he should go on loan...look at Richardson as a great example!!!

but then, that's if we do get another striker...if not, SAF will just keep him here and on the bench...he will be given alot more chances this season, but with Saha, Smith and Solskjaer ahead of him partnering Rooney....i doubt he will have that many chances to start.
 
SAF said (ahead of todays medical) he's looking into a few other targets so I guess he's just leaving things to the last moment.
I'm expecting atleast 2 more players cuz if you think about it, we were apparently targetting a few players long before Ruud was gonna be sold. So now that he's gone, we should have an extra £11million+ that we didnt know we'll have.
 
You obviusly need a top quality striker. I still think you are a CM/AMF short also.

Call that Obi one a wanker but what did you recive for a player you never played??? I wouldnt worry he will proberly rot in the Chelsea reserves.
 
Yeah I do wonder how much of that is made up of clauses like winning hte CL, Prem, scoring a certain number of goals etc. I'm quite sure it's significantly lower upon inspection..
Then again if we do win those things, the £18.6m will have been well worth it!

Reports still going on about Senna being on his way. Anyone know much about him?

Sounds like Fergie still has a couple more transfers up his sleave, wonder what's next...and when we'll hear about it.

Ive seriously started having dreams of United signing mascherano now!

We should hear about a new signing in the next few days I'd imagine.
 
Yes just read SAF's comments on sky and bbc, and he is commenting on 'being after a couple more signings - but these things take time'.

I expect another midfielder and a striker for you Mancs. I can see Senna, but i seriously can't see Corinthians letting go of Mascherano. But then again, i could be wrong.

What if you get both Tevez and Mascherano? I remember Tevez being fined by Corinthians for giving a press conference wearing a Man Utd shirt! :applause:
