Ruud just drove away from the stadium

Wonderful.

Thanx for service Ruud!

Bye!

Should sell Saha tho, i want Bent or Defoe. Young & hungry

I would be gutted if Ruud left.
But Ruud is very moody, which is probably why every season we hear about him leaving. Unforetunately, this last stunt with him driving away from the stadium shows his intentions. :( I hope he can be convinced otherwise.

I hope we can get someone world class if he does leave, because you can't replace someone like easily, no matter how bad a season he has. The first half of the season was pretty good for him actually.

neither good enough.

Ok, who is????

People say that all the time but never come up with alternatives.

Defoe will be a good signing as hes shit load better than Saha

Whats weird is that he's still the second top goal scorer in the league, only 3 goals behind Henry. And considering he isnt even playing many games now, he probably WOULD have been the top scorer.

I'm sorry, they say every year that Ruud is leaving, but the way Ferguson has been acting like a twat towards him this year, is almost exactly like the way he acted towards Beckham, and we all know what happened after that. I'm afraid that he's definately leaving now, especially after he left the stadium and he went home, theres no way back

i disagree about ronaldo, he is world class... he has single handley won games for united, he is young, he is a keeper, he will be better the figo... much

he's not world class, not by a long shot, he has one or two amazing games through a season, where he plays everyone off the park, and then he's shite the rest of the time, everything that 'Bumfucker' said is pretty much true, he can't pass, he can't cross, he's can't take FK's and his tricks often end up in an attack being wasted. We need at least four new midfielders and a new striker (thanks to Ruud going), so Glazer better give us some fucking money and we'd better spend it wisely

Good win today to secure 2nd spot

I really hope Ruud doesnt leave, all this about him is really unnecessary I think he really can still can add to the club, hes not 2nd top scorer for nothing (would have been closer if he would have been on top of his game towards end of season). The problem doesnt lay upfront or defence. I hope Fergie realises that a centre midfielder is needed, if cash needs to be splashed then so be it, it would make the United look more complete and look better for next season. Heads up,

Keep the red flag flying high Man United will never die

i sense that Ruud is gonna leave... i hope torres would come to trafford, but i dont tink that will be the case..

Yeah, because your coach has never driven players away before...

Four midfieldeers & striker????

I swear SAF only has £25m to spend????

Ruud should go as yea he had a great start of the season but his body language seem to suggest he cant be bothered anymore so gotta go.

SAF needs better people skills but Ruud needs to grow up, driving away like that proves my point that he cant be bothered

I think its disgusting the SAF has treated Ruud. He must know he want to sell ruud long time ago. By leaving him out of games just to piss him off so he feels that selling him is justified is just wrong after Ruud just provide wonderful service to the club. Without Ruud in the past we would of been far behind other clubs.

Im not too bothered in the fact SAF wants to sell him but the way in which he is going about it leaves much to be desired.

Some say,Ruud was getting bigger then SAF and just like Beck and Keano your out... regardless how important you`re to the sqaud.

This is nothing new..But now, because the Glazers he has Full control of the outcome.SAF is as big as MANUTD.(Glazers will never face the fans, because SAF won`t allow it,but remove SAF and then, they will listen)

It's true, we really do need 4 MF's and a striker, otherwise we're fucked, and if he's only got 25 mil, then we're fucked either way

All I can hope is that Fergie calls up Ruud tonight, says look, this is a team and you can't be the only person int he locker room, but I want you to stay and you'll have a future here, and let him decide. But I fear that its the end for him.

The ansewr to the question of who is good enough to replace Ruud, the answer is that no one is. The only player I could see contributing like him would be Michael Owen, but no way would newcastle sell him, plus he's been hurt all year. I think we're a bit screwed. Gutted.

I tell you what, RVN going is the worst thing that could happen to you. He gaurantees goals, at least 15 a season.

I'm as gutted as many of you are.Looks like Ruud is going to leave us for good unless Sir Alex swollow the pride pill and talk things out with the striker. This is highly unlikely though as we all came to learn from the past.I'm just as disappointed too concerning Ruud's behaviour, driving away like that isnt proffessional at all.Look at Saha,he didnt get much chance earlier on but he didnt leave,Giggs was benched for quite a while but he still provides a masterful performance against the Addicks,in a new position I might add and the top proffessionals in our squad,Ole Solskjaer and Paul Scholes, they never complained always around when they are needed.By far,Solskjaer is the best ever player Sir Alex could have wished for.Bought as a nobody, never guaranteed first team action but when called upon,he delivered the goods.I think Ruud needs to learn from Ole.In my opinion hes just being a baby and hes afraid of not being match ready for Holland in the WC...but,if you know you are good enuff prove it on the field, thats it.I'm having mixed emotions really.I'm happy that we have improved from last season but at the high standards that we are so used to,we are still underachieving a little.Maybe next season is ours.Cheers.

LOL was never a big fan of Ruud, just something about his style of play that lacked drive, or determination, or whatever. He just never seemed world class to me (well, not a Thierry Henry anyway). I'd be happy to see a younger, faster striker, to team up with rooney and saha, who are both very physical players. I think someone like Dirk Kuyt would fit well in EPL, as he seems to be very physical, and has lots of determination. Rossi could be given regular subs appearances, to improve his game.

Then again, I feel MUFC need midfielders more than we need strikers ie. CMF's.

its a shame bout Ruud but as usual I trust Fergie, if Ruud spat his dummy out and is being moody then he deserved to be dropped.

With Torres and Gudjohnsen both linked and CMF's and a promising FB being lined up I'm already excited about next season.

I think Gudjohnsen would be a good buy, he's a quality finisher that doesn't fit into Chelsea's formation very well (alone up front) but could flourish with another striker I think. Also very professional. But he does apparently lvoe the london lifestyle, so not sure if he'd be up for it. Plus would Chelski really sell him to a rival?

Anyone who watched the match: How did Rossi do? I only saw highlights, so didn't see much of him. And how bout Richardsons strikes? Not bad at all!

Can you blame Ruud for being pissed? Last match of the season, getting dropped in place of a 19year old. After being top scorer and helping put the club where they are in the league. My opinion SAF has driven Ruud out, if he wanted him to stay he would have come out and said it a long time ago and played him in these last games.

He has obviously crossed SAF and once that happens there is only one winner! Just like Stam, Beckham and Keane he will allowed to leave. Question is can United replace him?

Well yes i think we can defintley replace him. I heard the turning point was when Ruud said he would leave before his contract ended to go back and play for PSV.

If SAF kept all those players like Stam and Beckham, we would be much more stronger team, those two sales were a mistake. Myabe what may happen now is we do a swap deal with Tottenham,Ruud for Micheal Carrick.

Were Stam, Beckham and Keane adequatly replaced?

SAF hbas proven he is not good at finding replacements. After Stam left we went through Lauren Blanc, then he flopped and we signed Rio, and til this day he is doing most of the defense work by himself. If United were smart we would have kept Stam and bought Rio. After Beckham left we tried signing Ronalinho but that flopped, so we settled for Kleberson and he another mistake. Now its Ronaldo but he is no beckham. With keane, we tried replacing him with Miller, Djemba djemba, Fletcher and now John O'Shea. Its proven pretty much a circus and one of the reasons why we have underachieved in the last few years. These players like,Keane,Stam,Beckham and RVN are not easilty replaceble but you can find quality players to make up their places. But SAF cant seem to find quality players no more who can play at the standard United require.

But hes found the replacement for Keane its just whether Lyon will sell him!

@ the end of the day SAF sees Ruud in training everyday and if hes sulking and no putting the effort in the he should not play!

Ruud bought this on himself, previous players had no problem being dropped as the knew they had to prove they worth a place in the team, maybe thats the problem he got comfortable being number 1.

Probably be able to sell him for £15m aint to bad for a 29 year old.

We need another pace striker to stretch teams ala Arsenal.

In the past 10 years, haven't our strikers been the fastest of the turn arounds? I mean like Yorke/Cole etc, seems like Ruud's 5 years was actually a decent run. Still, I'd like to think SAF will offer him a chance, he deserves that, and more importantly we the fans deserve that. Ruud is loved at OT, and I seriously doubt anyone on United's team list will get 150 goals at the rate he did.

Nothing has been confirmed linking us with Diarra its all just rumours right about now, for all we know, SAF is after Robbie Savage. We've been linked with every midfielder under the sun so i wouldnt get my hopes up just yet. As for ruud, do you really think blaming him for drawing with Middlesborough, then dropping him for a 19year old who never started a game in the premiership before was justified? I agree now is probably the right time to sell Ruud, but SAF is going the wrong way about it and considering all he has done for the club he deserves much better treatment.
