I agree. I dont think Makelele would want to say something like that. He's too much of a professional.
 
Yeah but the makelele story is actual qoutes from him, the press cant make up qoutes of someone saying something. The shevchenko story was just rumours really, they didnt make up him saying that he said he was going to chelsea.

Makelele comments is disgusting, since SAF never ssaid United were goign to beat Sunderland and chelsea lose to Bolton.

Well, they are all arrogant players. Drogba has said similar shit in the past, so im not suprised Makelele thinks that chelsea and mourinho is the dogs bollox for bringing two league titles after spending over 250million on players.

Check out that link again, see how the quote marks are all over the place, so you can't actually tell what his is ans isn't supposed to of said. Plus the press love to paraphrase, which if you mix in a laguage barrier can give them licence to practically print what they want.
I mean, do you really think Makelele would use a word like 'flopped'?

You have to take these articles with a pinch of salt, personally I've stopped reading any tabloids because I'm sick of them printing lies.

Your absolutley correct on every acount. Some of the words the NOTW used Makelele would never use. Makelele came out yesterday and angrily denied he said anything of the kind and holds high respect for SAF. I was duped into another lie by the media. I did only buy tabloid newspapers solely for the football stories and articles. But yet again they fabricate more lies for their own agenda.
 
yeah. they want the match next week to become a battle. I live in Japan thank god and don't have to listen to the scum press anymore.

Makele should absolutely sue for libel. That's ridiculous. And if they never get punished, then they'll just keep doing it.
 
I'm sure we have a good chance of getting Riquelme now after Villareal got knocked out.Rooney was quoted in the papers a few days ago commenting that Riquelme was of a different class.In other words he was saying that,there is no way Roman could get his number 8 jersey if he ever comes! hahahaha.
 
Riquelme was a bit crap against arsenal over both legs. Plus a very tired looking penalty. But I'll let his other performances be the guide I guess.

Anyone else noticing how close liverpool are getting? 3 points behind, and though we have a game in hand, it is against chelsea. Saturdays match is probably more important to us than them!
 
I wouldnt worry too much about Liverpool, we are 3 points ahead and we can afford to drop points against Chelsea cuz our last 2 games are at home to boro and charlton, which if we win,second place will be guarented.

As for Riquelme its hard to judge one player over two legs of CL football. After all he is the only recognisable name in the villereal midfield. He basically is carrying the team and does most of the all round attacking work on his own, no wingers to feed off just him alone directing through the middle expected to conjure somthing everytime., Therefore you cant expect him to be great everytime dominating play in all games, even though i dont think he had a bad game the other night. IM sure in a much better team where the onus and pressure is not all on him he will have much noticable games. In Argentina squad he always shines throough cuz he isnt doing so much of the work cuz he has got quality players around him that can also do a very good midfield job.

On paper, Riquelme is their star player... so Arsenal man marked the hell out of him. United have lots of other threatening players, so they wont be able to put their best markers on him (assuming hes in the United midfield).

41 days to the cup, Rooney in some kinda agony before getting stretchered off. Teammates and opposition players gathered loosely around him. I'm listenin on the radio as I don't have it on TV but that didn't sound good.
