Manchester United Thread

Clubs have always done that. Whatvever the price though, if its a player Fergie wants and believes is world class, he will be given the funds to bid. Personally i dont think the guy is worth 24million; i mean how the fuck should a defense midfielder who just sits in front of defense and tackles, cost so much? its ridiculous. But football money is ridiculous so i wont even get into that argument. I dont like hearin Diarra would prefer a move to Madrid. Imginae United start bidding, and then Real get involved,it will be Ronaldinho Barce-United bidding war all over gain. only for the player to move to spain. I cant take another heartbreak like that.

Also he can help make Real GREAT again and they have unlimited funds for next season

Looks like all the United haters that wanted the club to liquidize (ie like Leeds) will have a long wait, because its not going to happen. Instead it looks an healthy future which will just get better.

Cant wait to see Heinze back in action, hopefully this Friday

Makes a joke really of the all the fuss when Glazer took over.
i think the concerns were real, he has bought the club with borrowed money, there still is the question on how he hopes to pay back the $750 million... future profits, will take a long time, the $100 million chunk from AIG.. well thats a start... I think its too soon to say the Glazers purchase was a good investment, give it 10 years, then we will know...

Just a bit off topic, but considering how well United are playing at the moment, the new influx of cash from a sponsorship, and now the biggest (club) ground in the England, i wonder if those FC United spin offs are feeling envious and are considering crawling back to the famous club.. just a thought that went through mind on reading the post...

SAF was in Paris today to see Makoun played against Psg ,maybe a futur signing for you..

Very good point mate, I reckon some old United fans that went off to support FC United have like you said crawled back

FC United is doing fine, just been promoted, 22 points clear at the top and banged in over a 100 goals this season....

As FC United is run by true United supporters they will always be welcome back at the club.

so where does that leave them? what league are they getting promoted too?
sounds pretty cool to be able to watch them grow as a club, would be fun...

Not that I really think we're looking to spend that much, but if we could spend £24m, then I'd love to see Nolan and another striker come in next year. Yes a striker, cause I fear that Saha will eventually get back to his injured ways and it was a tough year with only Ruud and Rooney available.

And Rossi will most likely be playing elsewhere in the prem on loan, Ole still has yet to prove he'll be able to play at prem level again.

they are being promoted to the North West Counties Football League First Division.

It has been good going to a few games and being a part of it but Im Manchester United thru and thru, I understand and support what they are doing and why they did it but it feels like cheating on my missus when I go and watch them on lol.

It doesnt matter how successful MUFC are, 95% of them will not come back until the supporters can buy the club back of glazer...

Thats right, Diarra has the stature and presence similar to Vieira, and has proven his ability countless of times in the CL for Lyon. He is no Djemba Djemba, that guy was a joke and didnt even prove himself at previous club. I dont understand what SAF saw in him. He must have been smoking drugs at the time.

SAF should maybe do a Player(Silvestre) & money deal for Diarra!

We need this guy he could be a rock for the next 10 years

That could work, since Houllier was interested in signing Silvestre in the january transfer window. However its a case of wether Silvestre wants to leave United which i dont think he does. I think if Lyon want 24million, i reckon we should just pay up(although i dont believe he should be worth that much). The guy is only 24 and we would reap much benefits from years to come with him as general in midfield.

Yep gotta pay the money!

I think Glazers will see that(hopefully)
