Manchester United Thread

If Arsenal go for a 4-5-1 at Old Trafford, I reckon it will be one way traffic, United will have loads of possession but then will Arsenal hold on aswell as they did in the FA Cup final ?

I don't agree, we've played in against Juve and Madrid and had equal shares of the possession and created a lot more chances then the opposition.

You wont get it all your own way on Sunday especially after Henry has just admitted that he has only just been able to run at full pace again because over the last 18 months he has had to hold back due to the achilles injury he had

I'm really curious about what happened with the Mansion deal cuz apparently it fell through cuz Man Utd found another sponsor that they'd rather have instead...

I heard a while back he was playing with an achilles injury, didnt think he had 18 month though

I thought he said he recovered from that a long time ago. Cuz he went through a spell where it stopped him from playing games but then he got back and got to 100%.

I got tickets for Sunday - can't wait. United and Arsenal are on FIRE at the moment - and neither team will sit back so get ready for an awesome match. The rivalry isn't there like is used to be but the fans will still be on song, mark my words. If we contain Henry and shut-down Arsenal's quick-passing moves we should get a decent result.

I've seen this too many times. "Be prepared for the greatest match ever seen!" I wouldn't be all that surprised with a nil-nil. I'm hoping United don't just go out and try and stop us from playing, that's usually why these matches are shite.

Only for Arsenal fans not United ;)

It should be corker though, both teams on top form. The 2 teams are playing the best football in the league at the moment

When did I mention diving or fouling. And if I remember correctly it was a dive from Rooney that won you a game the game last year. Get your facts straight.

I was talking about tactics which United usually get about right against us, you knobjockey.

Come on guys, it always turns into the same old boring argument: "Your team dives." "No they don't, your team does" etc zzzzzz. At the end of the day, Arsenal and United are both on fire at the moment and I can't wait for the weekend!

LOL. And why are you being so neutral?
I say we go out there and kick their fuckin teeth in and show them ONCE AGAIN who is the better team. Thats the attitude I want.

C'MON!!!!!

Was that supposed to be sarcastic? We could potentially end with a season thats a lot better than yours. And we're closing in on Chelsea now too.

 flaming me for stating the obvious, sorry for being in good spirits.
we got an impotant game in the CL,sorry if i`m not thinking about Man u vs. Arsenal yet....that will come later and hopefully no moe injuries

Potentially, you could win the league in addition to the Carling Cup, and we could win the Champions League. I guess it all depends on which you put a premium on, but I consider the Champions League to be more prestigious than the league and Carling CUp combined.

you implied it bro, and you know it... try to stop us from playing, what did you mean by that? didnt we beat you 4-2... i dont recall at rooney dive in that match... nor in the one at OT... i thought rooney scored the winner on a pass from smith...

I'd say we're more likely to win the league than you are of winning the CL. Chelsea just have to lose one game before they face us and if we beat them, it'll come down to one point with just one game to go. Imagine the pressure they would be under to leave with nothing but a win.
You on the other hand are gonna have to first of all finish off Juve away from home, plus you could be facing the likes if Milan, Barca, Lyon, etc in the last few rounds.
And its not only that either, you could also finish 5th which would be the icing on the cake for us.

Erm yes, but we also have to win all of our remaining games, which would put our winning streak at something like 16 in a row. Has that happened before?

I doubt you'll win the league, it's gonna be about as likely as us winning the CL. Both are possible though, only difference being that the CL is in our hands. Especially now we have a potential semi final against Villareal, providing of course...

Short memory. The only reason you won that game was because Rooney dived, if Pires had done that we'd never have heard the end of it. Well we've won the league for ourselves at OT, now we'll try and do it for Chelski.

I think YOU'RE the one with the short memory. Rooney's goal at the end killed you off which you have no excuses for.

What kind of thing is that what you have just said ?, are you mad ?

So if you get anything out of the match on Sunday, would you be proud to say you did it for your bitter local rivals ?

I reckon it's all PR talk tbh...I'm thinking there were some particular contractual details that Man U weren't willing to abide to and talks just broke down

I couldn't give two shits who wins the league as long as we get 4th. If that means beating you and handing the title Chelsea then so be it. Some of my closest friends are Utd supporters so I couldn't but feel a little bit happy for them if Utd did pull it off, but in all honesty beating you will put us in such a good position and will inevitably destroy any chance you have left. So yeah, beating you would be fantastic.

And you would have never scored that second goal at OT if Rooney hadn't dived and you weren't already 1-0 up.

:lmao: Its literaly impossible to say what would have happened. What if we had got more desperate at 0-0 and threw everyone forward and scored 3? Key word is IF.
But werent you the one that said "if"s are pointless?

it wouldn't have mattered at all if Pires hadn't dived against portsmouth to keep your run going. Swings and roundabouts mate.

Dont worry lads. He's gone now.

But I'm just backing up the claim that "we're whining divers". I never said you were divers, I'm just pointing out that you are guilty of it too.

And regarding the match at OT, the match swung on that dive, thats all the evidence i need, no if's or but's, if Rooney hadn't dived it would have been a different game. And before someone mentions me dwelling on the past, I'm not, I don't feel bitter I'm just making a point.
