Manchester United Thread

They only need the same scoreline that Arsenal won by. And then it could go to penalties.

Yeah, but they lack Vieira, Camoranesi and Zebina, in addition to (probably) Del Piero. I can't see Juve coming back from this one, I just can't see it...

hahaha...yes, i have to give it up to u ppl...9 matches without a single goal let in?? nice...

but then, the evil side of me just want to point out the boring 4-5-1 formations used...lolz (j/k j/k)

but..hm....why did this become a Juve vs Arsenal thread? oh wellz...nice game by them newayz...

Manchester United vs West Ham United

Sir Alex Ferguson has drafted untested youngsters Markus Neumayr, Darron Gibson and Richie Jones into his squad.

Wes Brown (groin) is again missing, while Kieran Richardson (foot) is also absent after limping out of Sunday's win over Birmingham.

West Ham will check on the fitness of defender Anton Ferdinand who missed the wins over Manchester City and Wigan with a groin injury.

Christian Dailly (hamstring) and Roy Carroll (back) are still out.

Man Utd (from): Van der Sar, Howard, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Pique, Silvestre, Evra, Ronaldo, Giggs, O'Shea, Park, Fletcher, Van Nistelrooy, Saha, Rooney, Rossi, Neumayr, Gibson, Jones.

West Ham (from): Hislop, Walker, Scaloni, Collins, Gabbidon, Ferdinand, Konchesky, Benayoun, Newton, Reo-Coker, Mullins, Etherington, Zamora, Harewood, Ashton, Sheringham, Katan, Clarke, Ward, Fletcher.

Intresting choice for Fergie to bring in 3 youngsters but will they feature. I hear RVN has been tipped to start, he must be itching to get back to goal-scoring ways. Last time the teams met it was a great game, United coming back and winning 2-1. Win for United would close the gap and stretch the lead on the scousers for 2nd place!

Good game. But as always, we should have had more. Was surprised to see Pique start but he did well along with Vidic.
Both of our subs, Giggs and Saha, did pretty well too which means we finally have a bench that we can rely on. In the last two seasons, it seemed like only our best XI could get the job done but now things are very different.
And just as I hoped, Ruud got on the scoresheet too.

In terms of our performances, things couldnt be better.

Back to top scorer of the Premier League

thank god he's back. just shows how good he is. First start in 6 matches, rumours of fall out with Fergie and seemingly no chance of Saha (shit) not starting, he plays and lo and behold....he scores....

Ruud Van Nistelrooy tra la la la la......

Well mixed news coming from the club today. Olé's been offered a new 2 year contract, which should see him see his career out at O.T. Quinny Fortune on the other hand will be leaving the club in the summer when his currrent contract expires, shame cause the lad always gave 100% but always seemed to be cursed with bad injuries. And on a happier note Gabby Heinze has resumed training and should play again before the end of the season and hopefully make it to Germany for the world cup.

I'd put Rio into midfield for the rest of the season and have Heinze with Vidic. It could easily work and doesnt need an explanation.

Nah midfield and central defence is solid!

Take out Silvestre hes the weak link!

Heinze played few games as CB with Paris sg and he was awfull so the best (my opinion)defence for man u neville,r.ferdinand, vidic(looks like pretty solid),heinze and as DM Diarra?

Gabby Heinze all the way for me Rune, Evra hasn't really shown what he can do yet, and if he cant displace Moon-Head Silvestre from left back he's gonna have no chance taking Heinze's spot.

chelsea drew! if we win this, the gap reduced to 7 pts, imagine if we were to beat chelsea, den the gap will be 4 pts... all hope is not lost!
