Well we managed to win the league after Roman's millions came along. We have a good side at the moment that will get stronger as it develops. Losing Thierry would be gutting but Arsene has replaced before, SAF doesn't seem to be able to do that.

That is right - Ferguson never replaced Robson, Cantona, Stam or Hughes with decent players*! :applause: ;)

*(Ferdinand, Rooney, Van Nistelrooy)

Our players are harder to replace.
And the fact is, great players are NEVER replaced. Teams just find new ways to live without them.

The situation is different for you guys though, a lot of the time you decide when the players leave whereas ours choose to. SAF has occasionally made the wrong decision by letting certain players go.

...where as you lot hold onto the players and watch them become a shadow of their former self.

erm...not exactly what i was chatting about, but take a look at Scholes mate . Pires has had a bad season but still managed to score 9 goals, Freddie has had a bad season but just seems to be getting back to his old self...i don't think the rest of our side has "former self".

He obviously must have lost it to be getting it back.

His career could be over for christ sake!

I mean his form. If someone mentions that he has played crap it's like "well he's injured". I like Scholes and in his day he was one of the best.

But he hasnt been playing. How do you judge a player who isnt even playing? As far as you know, he might might have also got back to his best. Same happened last season when he was on a run of bad games, then he scored one and couldnt stop.

Scholes not scoring goals doesn't mean he's not playing well, I genuinelly hate that analogy as it's such a disrespect to his all round posession play in which he's one of the best in the business at.
He had been playing pretty poorly all round though, before he got injured. Still another few years in Scholesey yet though. Never been blessed with pace, never needed it. Could easily see his best form to come in his early thirties, as was the case with Zola and Teddy.

Paul Scholes is still one of the best english player playing in 'The Hole' position. His timings in running into the box is just immaculate and he could just ghost away from his markers.Strong with headers, deadly with both feet and has great vision. He is the 'improved' Gazza as they say and a commited professional and a managers' dream player.Forget about playing football,if you lose your eyesight, your life could be affected too.I hope he could come back with a swansong before he hangs up his boots.

Side news.
Gaby Heinze is back on the training pitch and could even feature in some games before the season ends. Its only good for him and his world cup dreams.Sir Alex sent Paul Scholes to have a look at Kevin Nolan during Bolton's recent home win over West Ham, and the Salford maestro is supposedly impressed by Nolan's capabilities. How ironic it would be if Nolan is brought in to replace Scholes, not exactly the same type of player but he will be useful to us nonetheless. After Gaby Heinze picking up the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award last year,I personally think Wayne Rooney would run away with it this year.Let us run through Brum this weekend like how the scousers did.C'Mon United!!!

Seriously hoping we find it that easy. Their defence was abysmal, if we play well could easily look at 5 or so. Ruuuuuuud!!!! One game with that kind of defence could secure him at the top of the scorers table...please fergie let the man play! :)

How scary would this be for the game against Brum

If United play the same way they did against Newcastle and they play the same way they did against Liverpool, only this time please put away the chances!

I dont agree about scholsys form, JUST as he was starting to play really well he got injured it was gutting.

Would love nolan, and agree with what runeedge said, you find new ways to play, you dont replace players

How the hell are we consistantly scoring with such a crappy midfield? I just dont get it.
Its almost scary thinking what our team could be like if we had a complete squad like Chelsea's.

It's scary to think of what our team would be like with a mixture of the greatest players of the past and present.

For fucks sake, you people and your "what if's".
