On another note Defoe did not play again saw rumours in paper we might get him in summer!

I think because some fans like me are fed up with gambles and maybe players. With all the money united have, being one of the richest clubs in the world, fans expect big names to compete with the likes of Juventus,chelsea,barclona and milan. If you look at their squads theyve got big players all over the park who can come up trumps in big games. I see what your saying though, we do need a squad not one man player. But to be honest the only place lacking is the midfield. The midfield isnt lacking in numbers but rather quality.

F*ck Gattuso. I think he's being overrated over here. We need Ballack. And since he's free, I'd go and get Riquelme while we're at it.
 
If Ballack is going on a free I think all the top clubs should have ago including Liverpool, there's no harm in trying and it will be a shame if he ended up at Chav$ki
 
Well Ballack wants to win the CL and feels we wont so fair enuff move on and find someone else.
 
Sir Alex is rumoured to be chasing Lille midfielders Mathieu Bodmer and Jean Makoun, with latter telling the press that talks had already begun between his agent and Old Trafford representatives.I'm not too sure bout these two midfielders but I remember Makoun running our midfield ragged in both legs in CL.I am sure everyone wouldnt like another Djemba-Djemba or Kleberson in our squad.We,the fans had enuff of experimenting and hoping that somebody relatively unknown would be the next star at OT.Superb if it happens,remember Ole Solskjaer? Misery and anguish if it fails to materialize.Lets get the Ballacks and Riquelmes please.
 
Having both Ballack and Riquelme would really be something. Both can defend well, attack well, good at set pieces, a good source of goals, can create chances. And at the same time, they're very different players.
So it would definately work IMO. And one of them is free while the other plays for Villareal. I dont see how it would be hard to convince both to come to OT.

OK. Not defend well as in the way top defenders defend but he sits back and has the discipline to hold his ground like a wall if he needed to.
Which is something that stopped Smith from being Keano's replacement.

All he had to do was play Ruud. Would it have been that hard? What game is he playing. I understand why he'd go for saha and rooney, but still, this was a big moment for ruud, and now the damn sun will have a field day :(
 
Sir Alex came out recently that the only reasons why he picked Saha was because he was the Carling Cups top scorer so it wouldnt have been right to not play him. And secondly because he was affraid that he wants to leave the club. If you were the top scorer and still didnt play, I dont think Saha would have felt comfortable about his future at the club.

not really wigan had 24 shots at goal and foul rooney in the pen. beside own goal or not ruud was there waiting for the only thing he`s known for the "TAP" (tapper)

hahahaha, aw man...what an obscure turn-out...but wigan played great...have to give it up to them..

so Ronaldo scored 11 this season so far?? i think he beat the bet with SAF then...hahaha, if i haven't remembered wrong, he made a bet with SAF about scoring 10 goals this season...hahaha...what a lad, great future infront of him!!
 
Yeah. Ronaldo is really doing the business now. He has scored in almost every game recently including for his country.

But isnt it annoying that when one player is on fire, some of the others seem to have a goal drought.
