well they didnt beat us. Same thing happened last year with exeter and people got excited and we ended up in the fa cup final. Im sure arsenal recently struggled against doncaster in the careless cup and only won in penalty shootout, how come arsenal didnt beat a league 1 team (in normal time)? As i said i suggest you focus on your own club's troubles before pointing the finger.

F*ck him. Theres no way we're gonna force a player to play for us if he doesnt want to. So theres no point in even trying to secure the deal anyway.
Its a damn shame what Roman's money did to this kid.

Funny thing is he now claiming his club lynn have a fake contract with him. Aswell as claiming he was forced to sign contract with united as if someone put a gunn to his head. The boy is a dick.

Patrice Evra has admitted growing impatient for a big move from Monaco as he simply could not refuse a move to Manchester United.

The left back preferred Old Trafford to Internazionale and is set to wrap up the transfer on Tuesday, providing he passes a medical in Manchester.

After being coveted by some of Europe's biggest clubs, the 24-year-old felt the time was right to progress with his career.

"I have already had opportunities to leave Monaco but I was not very keen to go forward in the talks with Arsenal, Liverpool or Real Madrid," he told France Football. "They all talked with my agent in the past two seasons.

"But, for some time, ASM really disappointed me. I knew too many disappointments not to consider the Manchester United offer.

well i think jones did ok, he missed that volley but he was in the right place, i wasnt so dissapointed in him, silvestre was awful for most of the match..

yeah man... silvestre made alot of mistakes and didnt do much defensively, however he did help out on the left flank... but he really need to brush up his crossing and passing... they were horrible in that match
smith should have played instead of saha for that match against burton, saha really suck IMO

Sure Saha sucks right now but Saha at his best is a great player and thats the Saha that we're waiting for. And the only way thats gonna happen is if he gets more and more games.

So if I understand it, Thomas Gravesen would quite like to leave real madrid where he never plays (read could leave on the cheap)
United could use a strong, dmf, who could hold the fort for a couple years, and Smith could learn from if he stays in that position.
Yet there's been no mention of us going after him.

Leads me to believe Fergie has not only chosen his target for the summer midfield signing, but is damn sure he'll get him too. At least that's what I hope ;)

I dont understand why so many United fans dont want Ballack. Ballack has proven to be one of Europe's best, Germany's best, and can basically play anywhere from DM to AM. Hes a hard player, yet is very technical and poweful, and scores goals. Hes about the same age as Gravesen too, and is basically free this summer.

Oh i'm all for ballack, well over gravesen, but was under the impression fergie had decided against him. With Ballack and Rooney providing balls through (and possibly Scholes too) Ruud would have a field day!

Plus he can take free kicks (see confed cup, how was that for performing under pressure!) something we'r sorely missing.

Would love Ballack but i think he'd prefer a move to Spain or Italy. Ive said it many times and ill say it again that we'd be making a big mistake if we dont atleast approach Gravesen.

I think letting Ballack join someone else would be the dumbest of United's big player hunts. Ronaldinho, Duff and Robben had heavy price tags, where as Ballack would join on a FREE... $0.

I dont think the fans are the ones who doesnt want Ballack. I'll have him in the team any day. But i think the problem is with Fergie. It seems he doesnt want him.

Personally we need someone in midfield to challenge the likes of Smith & Scholes because they are not really performing. The defence is now sorted & our striking options are amazing, now or in the summer, we need to build in the midfield department.

I doubt chelsea would go after ballack.

and Man doesn't need a player for the midfield, they need a completely new midfield. On the center at least.
Sometimes cannot still believe ManUtd doens't has a single DMF.

Ballack wouldnt come free. We would have to invest millions of pounds on his high salary. And for a player thats gonna soon reach 30 while we already have similar player in paul scholes, just doesnt seem worthwhile to me.

Though i do think we need another creative midfielder, ballack would help in the short term but it would be smarter to wait. I have a feeling this target SAF has in mind for the summer is fairly young and can operate as both central creative midfielder plus as a defensive midfielder.

Well, it surely isnt a young target. Dacourt's name has been brought up in the media here...and imo hes shit. Hes really cheap too.

hmmm i tink fergie wants ballack but knows if Man utd is gonna get him, Chelsea is gonna step in and buy ballack for fun. So fergie has to keep profile low and quietly keep contacts with ballack

Actualy, looks like we are in for Gravesen, I take back earlier criticism. I think he could do a great job for us, and opens up a host of optiosn for midfield subs later in matches (smith for scholes, or fletcher etc) Plus the man is a brick and scares the crap out of me ;)

Well, the Arsenal one was reset a few months ago so that Clockender could change the title, as the original thread was started by Zico almost 3 years ago.
