Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Thats what everybody expected, now its a question if the form like this will countinue for the rest of the season

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

6 goals this season so far, wouldn't put it past him to finish top if he continues like this

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

That second goal was out of this world good. He's really turned it around this year, glad for him and for the team, even if I did say we should probably get shut last summer.

Interesting game really, we were the better team for vast swathes, and I really thought once we got one, we'd get several, but then stupidly we let them back into it (again). Really need to start sorting things out when it comes to giving up leads.

Good three points which were needed with Chelsea having another easy game.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So pleased for Berbatov, I knew he'd come good. Great that he got a standing ovation when he came off too. Shame we nearly through it away again though but Gerrard kissing the camera and then losing anyway almost makes up for it!

Fletcher was awful and got worse as the match went on and Rooney was pretty crap too but Nani was a constant threat and Vidic and Berbatov were immense.

The scoreline flattered Liverpool they didn't create anything from open play and we gave them a way back in with stupid fouls.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i thought rooney did alright, never really did anything wrong for me
jonny evans is horrible though, we barely keep clean sheets when hes there

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Captain Vidic was a rock at the back as well. Still, these defensive lapses are very concerning. We were lucky this time that Berba bailed us out.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Moments like these make me proud that I share the same nationality with Berba! :WORSHIP:

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rooney never really did anything right either though.

Gave the ball away far too cheaply on numerous occasions, and looked knackered after about ten minutes.

Perhaps dropping him will give him a kick up the arse but we'd always be weaker without him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Jonny Evans really needs to get his act together. That was a totally needless and rash challenge. Again, as is always the case, like Abou said, we had to do things the hard way. But my, what a masterclass by Berbatov. Simply sublime. I really hope he continues in this vein

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Never do things the fucking easy way...

Words fail me with us sometimes.

This. I'm not sure what it is really but that's 3 times this season and its taking the piss.

Berbatov then, the key and I mean absolute KEY is his own self belief . I really think this is it with him, That 2nd was sexual!

Great result.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I do have to say that Berba played great...magnificent to say the least and so did Nani and Vidic. BUT...despite his great start this season, i won't put him up with Cantona or Sheringham just from these <5 games that he has played. We as Man Utd fans too often raise someone WAY above where they should be (praise-wise) just because they have short spurts of excellence...then once they do poorly for two games, we bash them so much, its just not right...

SO, i'll save my judgement on Berba being a Man Utd legend until at least after this season and if he can keep the form that he has now for the whole year, then i'd think he's closer there

About being a united legend....Berba has quite a long way to go...what I was saying was the type of player we are looking at....An auxiliary forward...one who drops off the out and out forward...a second striker...you get my drift?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

ok...yea, then i'm completely with u Phrase...

i just hope that SAF won't use that 4-5-1 thing with Berba again though...cause he honestly needs another striker to help him as he is exactly that second striker type....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So Bebe makes his debut tonight. Should be interesting to watch.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I just feel sorry for Bebe because all the eyes will be on him and even if he makes one bad touch it will be met with scathing critisism in some quarters.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

When you look across our midfield, Gibson, Carrick, Hargo, Fletcher, Anderson, etc, they all seem to bring something different to the table whilst also lacking something else. Its almost frustrating.
Scholes is the only complete midfielder we have and even he has an obvious flaw.
