Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Valencia & Chicharito ==> Bargains!

Good to see Barbatov put in a nice performance too.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Wooh el Chicharito rules! :D

Maybe is early to say but, in my opinion, Manchester United is the biggest contender to this year's title. Your team looks promising and Chelsea lost some important and experienced players so you're my bet!

And what about the Mexican's goal..

Tap in my arse, he fucking volleyed it into his face! Special finish that.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well deserved win albeit the flattering result,but for all the Hernandez hype I'd argue our Danny Sturridge was more impressive.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah he did well when he came on. He's a very promising player and I'd expect him in an England squad if he can get some games for you. At the end of the day, he played well but he didn't volley the ball into his own teeth to score a goal at Wembley.

Scoring a goal at Wembley is overrated,even Kalou can do it :SMUG:

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Apart from the brain fart he had when he was shown down the line by Valencia and ended up walking the ball out of play.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

IMO he was easily our worst player with Ashley Cole and Anelka,horrible first touch and stupid runs.Had to triple check to believe that he scored that chance.

Well if we have one player capable of doing that,that's definitely Kalou(less) :FAIL:

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Actually I think tap-in goals show when a team does perfect plays. It's the dream of coaches, score tap-ins. You have beaten the whole opponent team. Surely it can't be better from a tactical point of view?

For the whole match...I cant believe how much time Paul Scholes has before launching those defence tearing long balls....he had all the time in the world...and with a huge pitch like Wembley...Scholesy had a field day.Still dishing out lessons on how to pass at 36...pure masterclass.

Hopefully it will be the start of our retaliation and redemption from her on end.GGMU.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If only he'd called him himself instead of getting his cronies to do it.

Scholes = Heartbroken

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Was a good day at Wembley seeing Chicharito make his debut :D (I was well suprised by the amount of shirts with his name on their back on the way).

Scholes as usual was in a class of his own, Rooney did some outrageous passes at times and that the bit he tracked back to win the ball back.

Valencia also looks really good so far in the 2 games hes played. Looking really good going into the season and with the Ozil talk still going on things are looking very good

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

As nothing else is going on at the moment, quick report from the England U21s v Uzbeks:

Cleverly was probably man of the match, though the official award went to Rodwell (who was good). Young Tom was outstanding. I'm not saying that it's a good barometer by which to measure him, but he was definitely a class above.

Welbeck is getting massive, looked the tallest player on the pitch. Silky touch but limited end product. Starting to see what the excitement is about though, he positively glides with the ball.
