Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I know its poor opposition but Valencia has been awesome

Chris "Not So" Smalling seens alot more comfortable at the side of Vidic too, makes you wonder if he will start for the beginning of the season

Good fun that game, Hopefully we can do the same on Sunday. ;))

I really want to see Rooney and Chicharo start against Chelsea. I think Nani has looked sloppy and needs to sharpen up his game.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Cleverley has gone to Wigan on loan.

Just been to watch them against Zaragoza and he'd walk into their midfield it's that dire.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Good news, hopefully he can establish himself enough to comeback next year and be a good option.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think he might be better off playing wide now. Rooney, Berba, Chicharito, Owen and Macheda is more than enough.
I'm a lot more excited now than I was this time last year, after we had just lost Ronaldo, Tevez, and picked up Owen and Valencia.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

sounds like cleverley isn't going out on loan, got to say i'm really happy about this, he can play anywhere across the middle of the park and that's where we need options.

just hope we manage to snag Ozil too then i'll be very confident for next season

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Cleverley staying rules out anyone coming I'd say. I'm pretty surprised by it if I'm honest, I don't think he looks as ready as others but we'll have to see.

Unless he's staying to be Ozil's backup

*Leaves dreamland*

or not

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Nice to see Cleverley isn't going anywhere. I really like this guy.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Diouf scored on his debut for Blackburn.

Hopefully he'll look slightly better than Manucho over a season and Sam will take him off our hands.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fergie went to watch Fulham vs Werder Bremen instead of going to the opening training session.

Ozil......

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Or likely he's in London for the Community Shield tomorrow and we've got Fulham in a few weeks, kill two birds with one stone.

We're not signing Ozil...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I took this picture of him today outside OT.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

One eye on top spot the other eye on Arsenal sliding down the league arf arf.

Chamakh attack will take us to the summit and we will take the premiership crown and I will laugh at your disrespectfulnessnessness!

:P:P

Seems a little eager considering the rest of the squad were back at OT for the open day.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Woooow, what a cross by Rooney to assist in the Valencia goal. Impressive crossing. Things like that define special players from the rest. I'm still rubbing my eyes.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Superb finish from Chicharito there, went in exactly how he meant it...

Superb finish from Berba as well, was a bit sloppy when he came on but he'll take something from that goal, very classy.

Overall Chelsea were probably the better team but our defence was good and we were clinical when we needed to be.

And after all these years, Scholes is still just absolutely brilliant.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah agree with that. Valencia, Scholes and Carrick were absolutely brilliant, no coincidence we lost control of the midfield when the 2 in the centre went off. Valencia made Cole look amateur a few times and took his goal really well.

Hopefully that goal will do wonders for Berbatov's confidence, he took it superbly and it was nice that every player ran over to celebrate it with him. Lovely ball from Nani too.

Chicharito... wow, he's just a natural goalscorer, bit greedy and harsh on Valencia taking the assist off him for his goal though. :D Think he was possibly a bit nervous as he sliced that chance when Berba did the cutback and tripped on the goal but he wasn't afraid of getting stuck in and gave Terry something to think about.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

4 out of 4 for Hernandez, impressive. Nice to see he's already made an impact. I'm hoping we'll be going back to 4-4-2 now.

I loved how Berba commanded that goal as well, telling everybody where to stay and where to pass the ball. He's a very very smart player. I'm glad he didn't go anywhere.

With 4 quality strikers plus Macheda, maybe SAF will be able to rest Rooney every once a while. I thought we relied too much on him last year and you could feel he got tired by the end of the season. Plus Hernandez seem to work well with Berba.

And how good was Scholes? I don't think he lost a single ball today. Carrick was great too. If he can regain his form this season, then United have a great chance in both the PL and CL.

Quality squad.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The good fellow Manchester, excellent game. Today it has proved that is ready to struggle for the highest places in a new uneasy season.:P:TU:
