Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i dont mind the black jersey with the blue or red v actually. its the home kit im not crazy about.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ando's freekick is the mirror image of that Ronaldo freekick that Rune posted on the last page.

It does not convince me that he is a polished freekick taker though..his posture and technique is not there yet...has to score a few more to convince me...hats off to him nonetheless.Lets now see one in the Premiership Ando??

Valencia's goal was a bit of a fluke by the keeper but credits to him for making space on his own.Can see on the slo-mo that he actually scuffed his shot which takes away all the intended power.Sir Alex hopes he can score more of that type of goals now that hes with us...and I cant agree more.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

These statistics of this Audi Cup are very interesting, funny that when it comes to full speed, most of the players have similar numbers around 30/31km/h.
Should I trust them?

No1 runs quicker then any1, some just accelerate quicker then others or maintain the same speed for a longer period of time. Thats why they all run the same. :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Great technique but when Evra stepped up I started laughing as I knew at 100% he'd miss.He didn't even look convinced

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

its great its taken the burden of his shoulders, I think he should (if he's on the pitch at the time) be our pen and free-kick taker.
I wouldnt argue with that now. Has he ever missed one for us?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think Nani will get pens after that, Stunning. One thing im slightly concerned about is sometimes when we were under a lot of pressure we would give Ronaldo the ball who would just run with it for about 30 - 40 yards to get the pressure off. I think were going to need Nani or Valencia step up to that. Not sure Nani has the pace or Valencia is able to keep the ball that well.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think in terms of pace and technique Valencia and Nani are both fine.Consistency is the most important thing, Nani has the potential to be a world beater and if felt like it at times against Bayern. With more games and confidence I hope he could step up, about Valencia I have no doubt. The guy has a lot of experience already and seems to be a "classic" winger, something we've been lacking for a while. The squad really seems balances and I'm really excited to see them play in competitive football.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This penalty marlarky is easy isn't it? What a friggin shot.

Thought he and Berba were our best players by a country mile yesterday. And if Fergie ever plays Giggs and Scholes alone in the midfield again...well I guess I'll just be annoyed. But seriously. Rubbish. Wasn't aided by Bayern's attempt to bore us into submission. They must have spent 50% of their posession passing it backwards, between the CB, up to Tymosheck (spl?!) then back to the CBs. It was hilarious because neither Berba no Owen was pressuring them to do this, they just seemed keen to avoid United's final third like the plague.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Giggs and Scholes in the middle plus Gibson on the right wing for the first half got me thinking that it was a weird starting lineup

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Im surprised Tosic wasn't in the squad for the Audi Cup (maybe he was?) but instead of playing central midfielders like Fletcher and Gibson on the right flank we could have put Nani their with Tosic on the other? Well it did the job anyway as it was just a fitness booster. Still surprised we haven't seen Owen/Rooney.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Maybe Fergie wants to try out the newer partnerships upfront as he already knows how Wayne and Michael line up together from England matches. Seems a bit too strange that they've not even had a minute together in all of preseason (I think).

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rooney's been coming on for Owen at half time for pretty much every game so far.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

After a quiet period...rumours linking us with David Silva is surfacing again. Some says that the deal is already done and will be announced at the press conference before the Valencia game.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Dont really know much about him. How much would he help us?
