Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 18 Times and Thats a FACT!!!

haha this is funny.

Anyway guys if you do get to 5 European Cups, you will still need to win the Europa League 3 times to be as successful as us in Europe :D ;)

or...because you lot will see the Europa League as another competition....you will never win the UEFA cup....

just a different name. we could still win it but we'd have to be as shit as you for a season to enter it.
Now the Cup Winner's Cup is another matter. Did you ever win that?

That HAS gone forever. We could win three different European trophies still but you can't.:SMUG:

If we can catch you in CL wins in the next few years, we could always start on FA cups.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

it would be okay if I could get a stream that wasn't stopping every two seconds and then jumping forward 20 seconds every now and then.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We're fielding such a weak team yet they've played quite well today, not brilliant but enough to please me. I'm hoping for more goals in the second half.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well I'm kinda depressed we didn't relegate Hull, but with the Geordies going down it doesn't really matter :D

And besides, they'll more than likely go down next season, so it's alright.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

That's most likely fake. Why would Nike take picture from this season (or last one) and shop it with the new kit as an advertisement?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Anyone else getting the nerves yet. Fuck me were so close to the big day. CMON UNITED :DD

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Me...I'm nervous about Rome...tomorrow I am renting a DVD of the review of our last CL season - Road To Moscow...just to relive the memories.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I was feeling really confident up until the news of Henry and Iniesta being fit. A little worried now to be honest.
I guess it would have been unfair to play a weak Barca side but with this being a chance to win two European Cups (and a chance to be the first to get two CL wins in a row lolz!!1), I'd take a 1-0 with a deflection off Pique's backside for the win. It's been the story of our season anyway. I mean, we havent been half as good as we can be at times and still managed to get wins so I wouldnt mind more of the same in the final.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I am confident because I do genuinely think were a better team. You have to think they'll dominate possesion but I am confident Ronaldo (He'll be upfront for sure) will get in behind there shabby defence atleast once on the night and hopefully we can defend well.

I think Rooney will be key though, helping Evra with Messi and being the threat from the left V their fullback he can tear them up

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

People talking about playing Rooney on the right and Park on the left to deal with Messi so Wayne can attack more.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think we need Rooney on the left. They're gonna be without their first choice left back and Messi isnt the best at defending, so playing Rooney on the left would give Evra some extra support in defence while also allowing him to attack down the flank where we can easily outnumber them if Evra overlaps and leaves Messi behind. (damn that was a long sentence). Plus I think Giggs will be getting the nod ahead of Scholes so thats an extra man who might drift to the left during the course of the game. So I think that left side is where we might have to control the match from.
I just hope O'Shea and Park are ready to handle Henry.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah should be good. I love Paddy, this is his 3rd CL final in 5 years!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He seems to have recovered his form as well.

Was shocking after the Carling Cup final for a couple of weeks/months but he's looking good again.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeh Im confident that Evra + Rooney will handle Messi, Im really worried about Henry V O'Shea. Something tells me he's going to cause us lots of problems :(( Same with Rooney being our biggest threat IMO. Ronaldo will find it tough uptop on his own.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ronaldo didn't find it tough against Arsenal's defence, and it's arguably the same situation this time around.

I definitely agree with Henry being the biggest threat though, the guy has been fantastic this season, much like his old self, and we never really managed to contain him back in his Arsenal days.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

O'Shea's solid enough defensively to deal with him, plus, Rooney or Park will also be there to track back and help out with the defence when necessary, so I don't see it as a big issue.

Yeh but we ran the midfield on that day, Wednesday will be totally different, we'll get scraps and Ronaldo will need to make the most out of them and even if their defence is shite 4 v 1 is always going to be tough.
