Manchester United Thread

"There are two things I'd like to say. Firstly, congratulations to Liverpool for winning with an emphatic score, but I think... it is a very flattering score. For big spells in the game, Manchester United dominated but they made mistakes on the day that usually they don't do. Some players looked a bit mentally tired. It opens up the race for the title, even though I still believe Manchester United are in a strong position with the game in hand." - Wenger (!?!)

Please let it be that arrogant cunt Mourinho. He'd fucking ruin us :P

Corrected... He'd do a good job at United... just like at chelsea with the players he made them a good team playing beautiful football!

With the players at utd i don't see how he can ruin us!

Wrong...he'll probably end up doing what Cloughie did with Leeds. Fuck us up and then leave. :CONF:

Anyone think Mourinho would ever come as assistant to Fergie for one year? Kind of an apprenticeship? I'd imagine his ego would be too large, but we could afford it and it would be the ultimate transition period...

mourinho has never played beatiful football, id prefer quieroz. he already knows everything about the club and all the players, he'd slot right in.

he played a huge part in everything we've won for the past few seasons. i think a lot of the tactics that we've employed have been down to him, especially in europe.

Dear god please not Mourinho, Plays Shit football, makes everything about himself, doesnt stay at a single club for long, rides succesful sides and then moves on when there about to go downhill.

Im not sure theres anyone I would want :(( I think Del Bosque would be a possibility, knows how to handle big names (Galactico era) his teams play good football and can handle the pressure of managing a big club and win games. Could give us a good 5+ years and see then where Moyes and O'Neil or any other Manager thats made a name for himself

I think he's spot on.

He didn't make them a good team, and play atrocious football. He was fucking handed a team built by Ranieri, and a blank cheque. He's spent hundreds of millions at Chelsea and Inter, and got out of them, 4 good players, and that's it.

He doesn't care about a club. He goes to a club, drains them of all their resources, and when they're in a poor period, he's whore himself out to another club.

I've simulated the last 8 in CL and United got Bayern Munich away.
Chelsea vs Arsenal
Porto vs Liverpool
Barca vs Villareal

Playing now...I want Bayern too this coming friday.Should be mouth watering.

Spot on Abhi. Sean were you watching Mourinho's Chelsea with your eyes up your arse? Beautiful football? Jesus Christ.

The only good signings he made were Drogba, Essien, Carvalho and Cole really, and that's at well over £60million.

I definitely don't want him to be our next boss, although he has got the 'presence' to step in. I'm dreading the day Fergie packs it all in, we'll definitely struggle to replace the man, he's such a part of the club it's unreal.

Those 2 were Ranieri signings as well.

Rafa Benitez :))

No they weren't mate. Ranieri left in May 2004 and Drogba was signed in July 04 and Cole in 2005. Google Drogba, many articles mentioning Drogba being one of Mourinho's first signings and wanting him for a while before hand and also Jose was fined along with Chelsea for tapping up Cashley in that whole deal.

a couple of weeks ago, just before the juve chelsea matchup, ranieri said he was the one who wanted didier ad stanford bridge, he said drogba was the last market suggestion he gave to abramovich..... and mourinho didn't deny it...

and since mourinho likes to use every chance he gets to argue with ranieri, i guess that's true. ;)

Okay fair enough mate, if that's what has been said then it's probably true but technically I was not wrong, he was signed under Mourinho. ;)
