Gerrard for Liverpool = Brilliant

It's not even that. He's probably disappeared more regularly in games for Liverpool than he has for England/

Can't remember the last time he was MOTM and really took a game by the scruff of the neck for Liverpool. Scoring the winning goal doesn't count.

You speak like he actually plays 50% of what he plays for ManU for the National Team. There is a slight difference we don't give him much money (its even more stupid to pay them for being selected, whatever) as ManU, so the gold digger player doesn't play the same. Thats why he will leave Manchester, a club where he won everything and could win more, no, lets change and capitalize a lot more cous im short on money.. please the guy is a gold digger hope he gets what he wants.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he plays only half for our national team, but he has been clearly declining over the last 2 years. When no one called him the best in the world he was great at our NT. The better he got at ManUtd the worse he got at the NT.

Like someone said today on a tv show. Ronaldo may be the best player in the world, but he isn't the most important player of the portuguese national squad. That would be Deco.

If Portugal had Rooney and Tevez up front with Ronaldo, he would do as good as he does at United...

There was a good article on F365 about Gerrard the other day actually. http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8742_4290359,00.html

:CONFUSE:
don't do it , Jumbo. don't read that stuff! There's no way u could possibly learn or understand anything about football, (more than u already do) by reading this stuff, as u probably already know football much better than mr. Simon O'Brien here (and i'm not joking) :))

the total incompetence of english football journalists is quite an acknowledged fact, but it still amazes me to see how many bullshits they can write in just a few lines.
and it amazes me even more thinking that mr. O'Brien (and dozens of his colleagues) get paid for writing articles like this one!

Everton away this season
Marseille away this season

Is there any truth about Jip Jaap Stam will be appointed to become one of our scouts? This would come as great honor as he was one of our greatest player ever and the way he left the club was just embarrassing.Sir Alex had regretted publicly many times over how Stam was being sold and I hope this 'transfer' will be a sign of 'reconciliation'.

yep, jip jaap is now a United scout!

he has recently been watching some brazilian kid that we're supposed to be after..

I'm really pleased for Stam as he was one of my favourite players to ever put on our red jersey.

Really nice move by the backroom staff to appoint him.Heard he has already put his foot down and scouted a young brasilian wonderkid for us.

Our move to appoint two scouts based in brasil was a delayed but expected by many.Should be a sign of great times ahead for us.

5 wins on the bounce in all competitions, Rooney scores again, never looked troubled.

Further cements my opinion that it's only us for the title (maybe over-confident but still).

Glad to see Berba and Ronnie on the score sheet as well.

I'm just gonna add something to what I said before, and its strange.

Dunno why, but it reminded me of Englands recent performances at home. Yes we were completely dominant, but I do remember an odd dissatisfaction at the half time score, and if it were England at Wembley, the crowd would've been booing surely?

We then promptly went on to stick four in the net to prove that the performance was good which is basically what England have been doing of late.

I'd like to add on to what Matherto said.I believed its all because of Rooney's recent form. When he is on fire,he transcends it throughout the whole team and automatically raised everybody's game. When a man is on form, you need to feed him every effin time.

The difference at United from England is,Rooney is not the only spear we have to thrust at our opponents. We have ones made in Portugal,Bulgaria,Argentina and Brasil!

Brilliant win last night. We looked too comfortable at times and took too long for the first goal.I'm glad we scored 4 and put a shout in after Chelsea's drubbing of Boro.4th place now with a game in hand, its looking great.Onwards to Celtic at home in the UCL!!!

okay, maybe Pool and Arsenal are too weak to last the distance but you are honestly discounting the best squad in the PL? (Chelsea)

They can deal with injuries and suspensions far better than United can IMO.

good to see Rooney in such form for Club & International Team!! But whats the fiasco regarding Tevez? He was a integral part of last years double.... is he still in there or is he leaving??

I don't know what it is, but when the games count, I can see Chelsea paying for their new found Arsenal style of play.

I think maybe under Scolari they'll get so used to playing the good stuff that when they need to grind results out they won't be able to do it.

Still, maybe its just over-confidence on my part.

I kinda feel what you're saying as well but it's probably just a part of me thats hoping it all goes bad for Chelsea. But yeah, they look like they've traded their "never say die" attitude for attractive football and it might bite them in the ass at some point.

I think Chelsea's "New" found football is over hyped? doesnt seem much different than before other than Deco adding more craft to there midfield, wingbacks told to bomb forward and try to get more goals when on top of teams other than that looks the same to me :SS

Hopefully Berbatov will pick up his work rate over the next few weeks. He was great (in the second half anyway) linking the play in the opposing half, but he just seems to stand still quite a bit. If he always does that then I worry that we might struggle against better teams because Ronaldo doesn't really track back (occasionally he does), and with Berba playing you don't get Tevez's jack-russell-like chasing everyone all over the pitch.

I'm a bit concerned about Ronaldo at the moment. I know he's not 100%, but his body language says he doesn't want to be there. His goal celebration said it all (there wasn't one, he didn't even smile)

It might just be me, and with Scholes, Anderson, Carrick, Hargo & Tevez back those concerns will probably disappear!

I still think Chelsea will take it this year. We've done well to recover from pretty much a worst case start to the season, coupled with tough matches. But you just need to look at Saturday - more or less their second string team out there and they still had world class in every position. I think they'll find it slightly more difficult against organised defensive teams than last year, particularly without Drogba, but I also think they're not going to draw as many at home, which is what really cost them.

Plus winning the prem 3 years running is just really tough. Chelsea feel like we did two years ago - that it was time for a change. And if Ronaldo doesn't get involved and with the team, I just don't know how we're going to do it :(

By the way, does anyone remember when Owen Hargreaves used to play football?

It's in the papers today that the FA might fine & suspend him for a few games - similar to what happened when Keano mentioned the Haaland incident in his autobiography.
It'd be better to lock him in a room with Vidic and see him mouth off then!

I think we should all get together and give Droba what he claims to want - a punch up with Vidic. Now that I would pay to see.

Agreed Vidic will just murder him tho hence his nickname the Serbian Terminator having said that I saw someone with Serbian Murderer 15 on the back of a utd shirt on Saturday
