Manchester United Thread

Giggs does well in the middle simply because of his vast experience. He sees passes before others, only second to Scholesy. He has got to improve possession at times to improve his shift in the middle.Other than this,he is compatible in the middle.

A few stories popping up about us.

Sir Alex Ferguson has banned Manchester United players from holding their own Christmas bash.

Manchester United are on the brink of losing their lucrative shirt sponsorship deal with AIG as the American insurance giants look to cut costs.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been alerted to the news Bayern Munich have accepted the fact they could lose top midfield star Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen on Turkey starlet Sercan Yildram, 18.

Rumours has it that, the reason to why we are stalling that permanent deal for Tevez is that,Sir Alex has got a eye on Sergio Aguero. Its been widely known that Aguero was shown around OT by Tevez last summer.A transfer for Aguero might happen after Tevez's loan deal with us,expires.

I'd rather have Carlito. As much as Aguero is brilliamt, I love Tevez. He gives his all for us.

We just need to play him more because he won't like being on the bench all season long.

Well Ronaldo isnt really a striker so if we keep Rooney, Berba and Tevez, Aguero would make it 4 strikers, right?

I think its the first reason, He always moans like that when things arent going well for him, Wait for him to bag a hatrick, The media will jump on his nuts and he'll be happy again :))

Is it just me or does he look really unhappy at the moment?

Might be because he couldn't hit a barn door at the moment, but it's definitely a sign that he doesn't want to be here.

Frustrstion at neing unfit just like Berba...if he does go in the summer then so be it. We need a winger anyway so go buy 2 with the money. I like Tevez but he has stunted Rooneys performances last year and we are seeing evidence of that already.

Anyway Rooney and Tevez will have to get used to rotation and it will be good for em.

Ronaldo today was awfull. I don't recognize that Ronaldo I was used to see.
The injury must be still affecting him, he looked slow and out of ideias.

Nani was even worse though.

You speak like he actually plays 50% of what he plays for ManU for the National Team. There is a slight difference we don't give him much money (its even more stupid to pay them for being selected, whatever) as ManU, so the gold digger player doesn't play the same. Thats why he will leave Manchester, a club where he won everything and could win more, no, lets change and capitalize a lot more cous im short on money.. please the guy is a gold digger hope he gets what he wants.

Rooney MOTM again.

Scores again. (twice)

When the guy is on form there is very little to stop him. Always a good sign for us. Oh and it was a nice little bonus watching Ashley C*nt cock up and get booed.

Further proof that Rooney needs to play in his favourite position to score goals.
We need to stick to 4-4-2.

:LMAO: Ronaldo kissing the badge would make me cringe! Rooney always goes on these runs, Im sure he'll get injured soon enough. :((

You know how people go on about the Lampard / Gerrard partnership, but did anyone notice that when Lampard plays he also hinders Rooney?
Several times on Saturday Rooney dropped slightly deep (how he likes to play) and Lampard was never more than 10 yards away from him as he opts to play in the same hole, which forces Wayne onto the left wing.
As soon as England went 4-4-2 Rooney didn't need to drop deep and scored twice...

Also, Real Madrid have started their transfer games nice and early:

Is there any truth about Jip Jaap Stam will be appointed to become one of our scouts? This would come as great honor as he was one of our greatest player ever and the way he left the club was just embarrassing.Sir Alex had regretted publicly many times over how Stam was being sold and I hope this 'transfer' will be a sign of 'reconciliation'.

I disagree, Rooney was supposed to be playing left wing in the first half so you cant say Lampard forced him out there. If anything Rooney was straying out of position and getting in Lampard's way! And anyway, when we changed formation, Rooney scored twice, nothing to do with Frank not being in his way anymore and he certainly didnt hinder him when we played Croatia either cos he scored and set a couple up then aswell!

4-4-2 is for sure the best way to get results out of Wayne though, that's obvious.:))

Still think some of the players in the England team shouldnt be there. I would like to see this team personally.

------------James--------------- (Foster would replace him over time)
Brown--Ferdinand-Terry--Cole-
Walcott--Carrick-Lampard-Cole
--------Rooney--Abonglahor--

Think the back four is fine but Gerrad and Lamps doesnt work(We've known this since 04 FFS!!!)Walcott is doing nicely on the right, Cole has been the most consistent performer for England for a while now. I think Heskey's done well for England no doubt but I do think Abonglahor has what it takes to lead the line and has a lot of potential and having Rooney playing of him. Carrick and Lamps would imo gel really well. Carrick staying deep pinging pass's while Lampard roams around the box.

I'd rather have Hargreaves and Scholes in the middle ;), but we know that'll never happen.
Also, Ashley Young to compete with Joe Cole on the left, and because I don't rate Terry (wonder why) I'd prefer Richards.

Also think Beckham showed he still has something to offer England - from the bench though...

=======
Thanks for putting me straight Jumbo - I missed the first few minutes so didn't see the formation. It just seemed that way with them both trying to play their normal game. :TU:

Yep, I agree. Gerrard may be technically better than Lampard but I'd rather Frank played. He scores more and can play centre midfield without disappearing from the game altogether. Gerrard did precisely fuck all on Saturday, I can barely remember him even having the ball in the second half. His saving grace is important goals in games and he's quite good at direct freekicks.

There was a good article on F365 about Gerrard the other day actually. http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8742_4290359,00.html
