Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Saw the two twins in TGI Friday's in Sale tonight. So obviously they're not too dissapointed with the result...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Yeah, when the fixtures were released I figure Sky/FA want United to either have the title sown up by October, or completely out of it. When you compare Aug/Sept schedules of teh big 4 there is a massive disadvantage to United. And they'll play all of those without Ronaldo too. Sigh.

Definitely think it's Chelsea's year. It's not in the league's best interest to have a 3-peat. Maybe that was weighing on the minds of the FA/Sky/Schedulers... ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

on your draw yesterday. anyone moaning about injuries is just making up excuses. arsenal had half our team injured with a bunch of kids playing at the heart of our midfield. manu have more strength in depth then arsenal and they should have won yesterday but they played poor. i expect united to win there next game easily and one more thing. the sun newspaper sucks. they said rooney played shit when he was infact one of your best players and it was HIS cross if im not mistaken, that led to the goal

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Mate, You played West Brom. We played Newcastle. There is a difference in quality as you may have seen.

Arsenal had Adebayor, Bendtner, Theo (who had no problems and already have epl experience) and Nasri upfront. Compared to our Campbell (i think he played a good game and was very close to scoring but out of luck), Rooney (rushed back from a virus), fletcher (im quite surprised he scored really), Giggs.

I thought the brazilian fella should've played when Carrick was injured instead of O'shea.

Newcastle played a good game and you have got to give them that. The spiderman played like he's really enjoying his premiership debut.

Still though, if we had our upfront players and on form then we would've seen a better output from Man Utd.

I think your wrong, I squad is missing way more players than you did last season, If you had the same amount of players we had missing i wonder if you would be able to even pick 18 players? Also were lacking the finisher in the side which is why were looking to sign Berba, Ronaldo has the best awareness and finishing in our side and thats the reason he scored so many for us last season. Just for argument sake lets see if you can name me what side you would play with the same amount out. :))

Ronaldo = Fabregas
Saha = Eduardo
Nani = Wallcott
Anderson = Nasri
Giggs = Rosicky
Carrick = Denilson
Hargreaves = Eboue

Im sure even you lot would struggle if all of those were missing?

how can you even compare those players? for instance nasri is unproven whilst anderson as proved he is a good player from last year. wow nasri scored one goal and his good already? still early days.

walcott = nani? are you high or somthing? if walcott is as good as nani, he would be first choice in the england squad.:brick: walcott is not that good yet, nani imo is alot better then walcott and thats coming from a arsenal fan. i WISH he was as good as nani.

Carrick = Denilson? seriously wtf?? denilson is again not as good and experienced as carrick.

Hargreaves = Eboue? LOL now that i know you was joking

Your team has more depth and experience then arsenal. even with our first full 11 we still look flat and un-experience especialy in midfield. stop blaming injuries for your piss poor start to the campaign. you lot played shit and so did arsenal, but the difference is that we won.

Arsenal had Adebayor, Bendtner,

Adebayor is fucking shit mate. watched the game? he missed a easy chance. Why did you even botehr mentioning bendtner? his not even good! what next? you gunna say that senderos = vidic? LOL

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I think the point is that with a healthy XI our team would look something like:

--------vds---------
-Wes-Rio-Vidic-Evra-
---Scholes-Carrick--
-Ronaldo------Nani--
----Rooney-Tevez-----

With a bench of Kusczak, Giggs, O'Shea, Hargreaves, Park, Gary and Fletcher
Of those 18, 8 were missing, so really, not ideal basically.

It's obviously an excuse but not in the 'well the team on the pitch should still have enough' kind of way. Because if I were Newcastle I'd seriously hope my team could handle the prowess of 3 premier league under 20 debutants in a front 4. Not to mention a LB on the wing and Fletcehr and O'shea on the pitch ;)

You may think he's shit, but he is your most important striker. He's like United missing Tevez or Ronaldo. He's the one that scores and imo is much more important to Arsenal than you think.

True you don't score 30 goals in a season if you are shit.

Your Defence was intact. Unlike ours Djourou played and Toure(came back from Malaria) played on the Wing. Campbell was the new guy, but Giggs, Scholes, Rooney, Fletcher have quite some experience too. Yeah, i know u guys didnt have many players, but even we didnt, and thats why Eboue played like shite in the middle.

no point talking to these manu fans. they can never admit that their team played shit but instead come up with stupid lame excuses. come on united fans admit you guys diddnt play well. thats why you drawed.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

:LOL: Jonney!, The point wasn't about me comparing the players with yours but more to do with imagine if you lot were missing those players you would struggle also! No doubt we played poor overall difference is we now when our players comeback we'll start trouncing sides just like we did last season while your missing 1 key player and looked poor :))

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Lol, hope that last statement was ironical, "while your missing 1 key player and looked poor", you let Ronaldo out and you don't play the same, yet you say that only happens to Arsenal missing their key player and playing poorly, your either being ironical, doing it 4 the lulz or just plain stupid.

Erm i think you need to read what i wrote again mate, the point was were missing key players and played pretty bad for our own standards.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I`m jealous of mufc success (doing it the proper way),but I will never be jealous of chels. mufc are going through a rough patch ,but if they can get 6pts out of 9 in next 3 away fixtures that some statement. If SAF give Campbell more games it will only benefit mufc

I wouldn't worry if I were you mate, you drew 0-0 with Reading the first game of last season and looked what happened!

yea they still won the title only because arsenal drew too many games and Ade already thinking about a un-deserved payrise and therefore prevented him from scoring some of the easiest chances you will ever see.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Erm, I think you'll find we won the title because we scored the most goals, conceeded the least and got the most points. But it could be down to you guys, not sure.

I'm back after quite a while.Wow,only the first game of the season and somebody already has eaten some sour grapes! Classic!

Missed the first game and the shield truimph altogether.Saw highlights of the games.Frazier Campbell looks a bright prospect but we need some experience upfront.Bar a usual top notch performance from Shay Given,we would have won, as simple as that.Bring on that striker and we will get the results we need.

That's pretty accurate for the first half, second half Newcastle parked the bus and we rarely looked like getting through. I'm pretty sure Newcastle only had 1 shot on target, and that VDS didn't actually make a save. Still, we lacked fitness and creativity in the second. I blame O'shea ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I think we'll shade Pompey but the real worry is Liverpool and Chelsea after that! Who the fuck sorted the fixture lists!:ROLL:

As i said before as long as no one runs away with it(6-9 point gap)and we get our players back the I think we'll do it :))

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Anderson should be back too Argie batter brasil 3-0

Doubtful, though possible. He has to play in the bronze match Friday, so could potentially get back in the UK Friday night UK time. Dunno if that's enough space to acclimatise and play again though :(

But with no Hargo, Carrick of Giggsy for the centre of midfield, I'd play him over O'shea with one foot behind his back!
