Big teams/favourites will be eliminated each year in the CL.Before we won it,I thought we had the best run in,since 1999.I think the 'Galacticos' Madrid team only won the CL once...Its all about the drive,teamwork and passion with a good bundle of luck to win the CL.And thats that.

I may sound a tad over confident but i really reckon were a lot better side than Real, Ronaldo would bridge the gap but even then i think were a better side.

I think apart from Sergio Ramos vs. Nev we have better defenders, not sure on the goalkeeper though Casillas is awesome. VDS is a true great.

Midfield wise (at least with Ronaldo) I think we're better, but they do have better strikers than us for pure goals.

They've won it more times than that. 2000 and 2002.

Watched a game of United today and realised, our play wont change AT ALL if Ronaldo leaves, he isnt even hardly involved in our build up play BUT what he does is create so much space due to him roaming around and carrying defenders with him, the other thing is he's used as a break away when were under the cosh and obviously making his late runs and great awaraness. So basically what we need is a player with Pace, good movement and a eye for goal. obviously sounds easy to say we'll get a player like that but i wouldnt say its impossible to find someone like that either.

Really? I think your whole play is revolved around Ronaldo. The Tevez-Rooney partnership only worked as well because of Ronaldo IMO. They're both players who like to play in the hole, and they would drop back to get the ball, drag out defenders, which would leave space for Ronaldo to move through and cut in from the right (hence why he can hardly be called a winger). Easy to say if you can replace him, but it's going to be hard find a physical monster like Ronaldo for the role. I could probably see David Villa performing that sort of role though, but I don't think there are that many.

Personally, I don't think Villa could play the same role to be honest. I definitely think he could fit in with Rooney & Tevez in a forward 3, just not playing the same role as Cristiano.

His second goal against Russia and the one against Sweden for example are just the type of chances Rooney always misses but him and Tevez are quite capable of playing the passes for that type of goal that Villa can finish off. I don't think Fergie could go far wrong making an enquiry. Maybe he already has, Valencia said they've had a few offers from teams not being reported in the press.

Exactly, mentionend this a while back Villa with Tevez uptop with Rooney given more of Ronaldo's free role.

Anyone watch last nights game on BBC should have heard that the russian number 18 Zhirkov claimed that he's signed for us, dunno how true it could be but he seems like a good player from what i saw yesterday, he's apparantly a left sided winger and also can play as a full back. also nicknamed the "Russian Ronaldinho" :LOL:

Naa i doubt it, I think Maybe SAF doesnt think Nani is the right replacement for Giggs, this guy seems more like a traditional winger, Probably a big money move to replace who know who :)

I could be completely wrong here but I think Ronaldo is going to stay. No matter what he says I dont think United are going to budge on whatever Madrid have to offer. Hes simply the best player in the world you cant replace that no matter what the money is, we've seen it before with Beckham, Stam, Ruud but this time its a little bit different because Ronaldo is that good for United

Metallica mate i think you missed the point, I've also had that feeling for a week but id rather not comment on him as i dont think anyone has on him recently in our thread, just let the new season start and see what happens and look to see who we could get to replace him;))

Marcos Senna just showed us all,why Sir Alex badly wanted to sign him before we got our main man,Owen Hargreaves.

Nothing to be sour about nonetheless as Hargreaves was worth the wait!

Yep Senna is quality, SAF has said that we will only be looking to bring in 1 player, It could be a Striker but we've also been linked with Schweinsteiger and Zhirkov so who nows? Huntelaar has rejected Ajax's new contract so he seems to be on the move!
