Manchester United Thread

Hargreaves has been great, his problem is he is not a better passer than Scholes, Anderson and Carrick.

In the CL final we should play Carrick, Hargreaves and Scholes in the centre imo.

Anyway..Chelsea won so no suprise there but the added bonus is Wigan are safe so they will be more open than usual. Play our natural game and we will win simple as.

Rooney should be fit as should Vidic so expect a win and nothing less.

Can't see Anderson is a solely defensive role. I'm so used to see him roam the front of the attack that hearing you lot says those things goes near the bounds of madness.

:)

Yeh, I know. Bit disappointed to see how Anderson is being used at United. Saw him at Porto, and immediately reminded me of Ronaldinho. But here, he is more of a defensive midfielder.

WHY BE DISSAPOINTED.....the only thing i can fault anderson with is his shooting! had a touch of the carsleys this season.....:-pp

Anderson has been roaming forward a bit more in recent games. This season has been more about getting used to the pace and physical side of the EPL, which he has done well to adapt (a lot quicker than Nani), so I wouldn't be suprised to see him venturing forward and getting goals next season.

I think he should also be given a chance at a few free kicks. He was taking some during the warm up against West Ham and looked a bit tasty :))

I think its the simple fact that we are full in that department, Seeing as we already have Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez followed by another winger makes it difficult for him, tbh I would love to see him given Ronaldo's role when we rest him but instead starting from the right he would start from the Left and be allowed to drift wherever. I think we would then see a lot more of those Ronaldinho comparison's yet he is that good he is playing well wherever we play him at the moment.:)

really can't say much about Anderson's free kick skills, cause I din't see him much doing that. At Porto, Quaresma takes all free kicks (unfortunaly, he's crap at it), but he had a chance here and there and showed potencial.
But hell Ronaldo is showing quality in that departement so why bother. :p

lol why would you be dissapointed, unlike lfc we dont have to play a CMF as a second striker...

anderson has done a good job in CMF...

It'd be nice to see Anderson get his first goal this season.
Ronaldo is already sharing FK duties with Hargreaves, so he might not want to share with anyone else!

The transfer talk today is about the 2 Wigan players again (Palacios & Valencia). I wonder if it's just a ploy to unsettle them ahead of Sundays game...?

Not being arrogant but I cannot see us losing Sunday's game not when Stevie Bruce is in charge of Wigan he won't deny his old team the title he'll put up a fight tho for sure...

Imagine if you guys were drawing with 10 mins to go - All hell would break loose!!!

You would have about 11 attackers

I fear for that actually now after Wigan came out blazing in the news today saying they definitely wont make it easy for us.They took points off Arsenal,Chelsea and Liverpool this season. It would be a nervy finale for the lads for sure...our last three away games wasnt too convincing either.

Wilson Palacios and Antonio Valencia...hmmmm...these two names somehow reminds me of Eric Djemba-Djemba and Liam Miller...hmmmm

Not being arrogant but lets focus on bigger targets shall we?

Again i completely agree, extremely nervous ahead of the game and if im being honest not very confident going into the game. we NEED to score in the first 15 similar start to West Ham will be needed to settle the nerves but if im honest the best i hope for is a nervy 1-0.

don`t mind them Revan their forcing themselves not to be so overly confident ;) ... w/ Ronaldo scoring 40+ goals it will be criminal not to win the double IMO...

Im shocked to see certain players scoring 30, 40 goals, is this a new beginning or a fluke?

He has been steadily improving, but I doubt He can improve on that!

C'mon he is a winger not a striker with 40+ goals in a season. And that's not counting the goals for Portugal. :) makes 48 if not mistaken. :w00t:

Where are you guys going to be watching the game?
I'm going to be watching it at home with my stepdad (who's a die hard United fan as well), probably from behind the sofa.
I don't want to chance going to a bar or our local sports center - who are showing it on a huge screen - as we'd prob get thrown out!

PES6 FANS!!

He maybe a winger but he raley plays that position in a traditional way anyhow, still a great achievement!

Yeah, he usually starts on the wing but he isn't a la Beckham as he has a free role to roam. But he isn't a out and out striker either, so to get 40 goals in a season from his free role position is pretty unheard of in the modern game.
